Um, on the contrary - the only people doing that are liberals, hysterically insisting conservatives have "no right" to fly the flag. This forum seems to be where LWNJ loons hang out. Never seen anything like it. DP |

This is so true. |
Totally agree. DP |
Which is why it will likely be deleted by tomorrow. |
You’re an exception, unfortunately… not the rule. I wish more liberals were like you - but they’re not. Because what you profess there is essentially the same thing conservatives believe/think/want. And that fact automatically puts you in opposition to your own peers on the left. Republicans have a huge arc of ideological azimuth. You can be Pat Buchanan, or you can be Liz Cheney. Or anywhere in between, and still be a republican. The dems have no such latitude. You’re either with everyone else crowded up against the left wall, or you’re Hitler (and it always goes back to being Hitler, for reasons I’ll never understand). That’s why you’ll never be welcome there (or here) if you say things like your post. |

I vote almost exclusively Democrat. I consider myself a moderate liberal. My husband is the same. We fly an American flag and have always done so - for 20+ years. We love our country, although we hate a lot of things that go on.
I support others' rights to kneel or not fly a flag or not say the pledge or not sing the National Anthem. That is their right. |
The only people who do what you say the “liberals” do are the “conservatives” and their ranting media. You live in a Fantasy world of your own making ..always the victim. |
DP... if you have no problem with Trump's Big Lie undermining the American institution of democracy and you have no problem with the Trump-led attack on the US Capitol then you are an un-American traitor who may have a 1A right to fly the flag but if you do, you are a completely illegitimate fraud when you do. |
| I still don't get why you all need to make a big deal of your patriotism by flying your flags in public, especially when it's not related to a holiday like the Fourth. If it's just an expression of your love for your country, then hang it inside your home. It's the in-your-face need to display your ideals/group identification out there for all to see (not just limited to flags of all kinds but also includes bumper stickers and the like) that I can't stand. Keep it to yourselves. |
Oh brother....founded by white men.....sure. |
Agree. I live in a county that went 74% for Biden. My city even higher - 80+%. I'd be willing to bet my neighborhood is over 90% Democrats. And there are plenty of us who fly American flags. |
I find it pretty flying in my yard. Any other questions or concerns? |
There are also a lot of us who serve our country, serve in the military etc. I'm fed up with this right wing narrative that any criticism or even acknowledgement of America's problems make us "un-American" - as the right wing did when we pointed out problems with police violence, as if the police are somehow beyond reproach and not to be questioned. Acknowledging you have a problem is the first step toward fixing it. |
+1. I really can't stand those Republican coexist bumper stickers. |
