Obama's EV federal vehicle credit in 2012 turbo-charged Tesla's growth. He owes the company's success to Democratic policies. Republicans were never going to give EVs those tax credits.

Also, the advanced vehicle technology loan program helped Tesla buy the Nummi plant in Fremont. They literally would not have had a factory without the Democratic policies that Republicans sought to undermine and positioned as taxpayer waste.

+1 this was a big deal in CA, specifically the Bay Area, where I lived when Tesla started out. They were not profitable for years. If not for Dems in CA, Tesla would not have been successful. Musk owes much to CA, too.
