This. So very, very Christ-like. |
Yawn. Go peddle your “Freedumb” propaganda somewhere else. |
Right. I take a multivitamin daily, get a flu shot annually, and do all other sorts of things on a certain regular schedule for my health and well-being. If my doctor advises vaccination again, I’ll follow my medical provider’s advice. Have you asked your doctor what’s recommended? |
Its great that you do all those things. But do you regularly judge and ostracize those that don't Yes, my doctor does not recommend that either of my children be boosted. |
I was legitimately completely out of commission for 48 hours for both my second dose and booster shots with full blown flu symptoms. Nevertheless caught covid over this winter break and comparatively had far more mild symptoms than I did from the second and third vaccines…but I still was sicker than my non boosted husband and both of my children with 1 dose and 0 doses, respectively, who also all tested positive for covid (none of us are high risk). I will be hard pressed to get another booster anytime soon. |
Given your experience with covid and reactions to the vaccine, do you suppose you were at higher than average risk of being hospitalized with covid had you not been vaccinated? Sure, you felt pretty bad for awhile but you didn’t have to go to the hospital, right? I wonder if the vaccine saved you. |
That was my thought too. Again, seek guidance from your own medical provider. Yours seems like a case that would actually favor a booster when the time comes because I fear how things may have turned out without vaccination. Glad you are okay. |
DP with a very similar experience, even down to the kids with 1 and 0 vaccine doses... except my husband was boosted and wouldn't have even tested if it weren't for all of us having it. My reactions to the shots were sooo much worse than actual Covid. The actual Covid symptoms were so mild but just lasted longer. Maybe the bad reactions to the shots were our immune systems doing a really good job of training, so we could fight off the real thing so well? Maybe. But I know an adult (same gender, age, and fitness level as me) who only got 1 vaccine dose months ago, who also had very mild symptoms. Maybe it is all just a crap shoot, as much as I hate to think that. |
Shutting down and going virtual are 2 different things. Ask the kids who got word today "APS is closed due to snow. Instead of a snow day, you have virtual learning. See you at 8:00". Also the way a teacher died (and I noticed how you called them old) nearby, and my potentially unvaccinated and certainly not boosted kid has been told to wear a mask while playing contact sports are given the same emphasis is why there needs to be an alternative plan. |
| Yes, some people will have bad reactions after vaccinations and boosters. The scientists told us that. Nobody should be surprised. In my house, all three adults, ages 49, 54 and 83 had no reaction after all three vaccinations. Both my kids felt crappy for one day after each shot. So yes, some people will feel bad, but many others have zero symptoms. Just get your vaccines so we can all move on with our lives. Also, we need the whole world to get vaccinated to avoid more variants. |
