Everyone knew that wasn’t true about being hacked. But it’s like they just collectively agreed to go with it since she wasn’t trying to defend it. It’s like with VA gov Northam initially apologizing for his discovered blackface/KKK in his med school yearbook. Then when no one could definitively say which one was him, he pivoted to saying something like “well I don’t actually have a recollection of dressing up as either one so I can’t say that was me” and so the media just dropped it like oh —okay—-maybe neither one of those was him then. |

The Dems and media just wanted some kind of plausible deniability that would let them move on, and she gave it to them with the “I was hacked” explanation. Nothing to see here. |
