Nobody’s really into academics. School sucks. They’re chasing prestigious academics schools for the same reason they’re chase prestigious athletics schools.

For the prestige

There we have it. There is a place for everyone. While the faker prestige chasers are wasting their lives educating themselves or playing competitive soccer, the smart ones are out there pursuing a lower level, non competitive version of both and all the advantages that brings.

Wait, so we've been wasting our money and time on soccer and studying, and we should have been enjoying high school and readying ourselves for NoVA CC and Phoenix University? Do tell.

Apparently anyone that wants to go to MIT or the naval academy or another competitive institution of higher learning is full of crap and actually thinks those places suck.

Competitive institution of higher learning? This isn’t 1980s anymore

What’s a tiny school and why would enrollment matter?

The first 60 credits at NOVA are worth the same as anywhere else….at a fraction of the cost.

IK. what does that list have to do with this discussion? Those all seem like fine choices outside of anything in texas but that is for a different thread.

That is one opinion. I personally would prefer our nuclear sub operators get those first 60 credits at annapolis but to each his or her own.

Naval academy is phenomenal school. Not everyone can get in. For those that can, they do. For those that don’t, they do the best they can with what they got. There is many ways to the same destination. That’s the point.
