| Who is the coolest "celebrity" (which in DC could easily mean a journalist or politician, rather than an actor, etc.) you've seen in or around DC? |
| I saw Steven Spielberg (sp?) at an Au Bon Pan on Penn. one morning 2 years ago. |
| I used to bump into Tim Russert often in Cleveland Park. He is missed. |
So sad--I live for seeing famous people and I too saw Tim Russert at the airport and twice at sports events ( Saw Luke with him once at a Wizards game. He looked just as nice in person--
I met Andrea Mitchell at Starbucks the morning (spring Valley)I found out (for sure at the dr with the blood test) that I was pregnant. I wanted to tell her but held back as we didn't tell our families for a little bit! |

Saw Robert Redford in a Senate office building when I was in college many moons ago. He was lobbying Bill Bradley.

| Worked at a restaurant and I saw/waited on Ozzy Osborne, Marilyn Manson, Tiger Woods & his mom, Robert Duvall (lives in Middleburg), the Gypsie Kings, Mike Tyson, and John Walsh (my personal idol). There were a few other, but I cannot think of them right now. Often people would come in with security and they'd be someone famous I would not recognize. |
Saw John Walsh too shorter in person and very tan

| saw W |
| I rode an elevator with Morgan Fairchild. She joked with my then 2 y.o. son. I have to say she is incredibly beautiful in person and more petite than I had imagined. |
| saw michael douglas walking down connecticut avenue near k st a few years ago. he was more wrinkly than i thought. |
| Ruth Bader Ginsburg, George Stephenapolous, Dan Rather, Walter Mondale, and (my personal fave) Jesse "the Body" Ventura. I'm very jealous of my friend who ran into and had a chat with Bono in the bar at Gallileo. |
| Has anyone run into Bo Derek lately? How is she holding up? |
oooh, where did you run into these cool people? (it would excite me to run into ruth bader ginsburg and george steph. especially!) how short is george, exactly?
|
| George Stephanopoluous (never spell it right) runs on Wisconsin a lot of mornings between 9 and 10 am. I see him on my way to work. His hair is WAY out of control before they cement it down at ABC. |
Yes, when I saw the subject line of this thread, I thought of Tim Russert immediately. I used to see him all over the place, always smiling. What a wonderful man he was.... |
