Hoping "this is the final word of the Pres of the US" is prescient.

What could possibly give you that idea?

Well, I am watching intermittently - what I heard him say is that he never heard Trump say it to him directly...

Oh.

But Trump told him to talk to Rudy and Rudy explained the details of the quid pro quo Trump wanted. Trump did not talk about the security aid to Sondland because Sondland did not know to ask about it. He wasn't the expert on Ukraine, he was there to get the investigations.

People are assuming Trump was being careful to not say all elements himself, but he isn't that clever. In this case, I think he referred everyone to Rudy because he could never remember the names and details in Ukraine. For example, in the July 25 call, even with notes, he referenced the unnamed bad news woman Ambassador, the unnamed company that Biden's son worked for, got all confused and incoherent trying to describe the Crowdstrike conspiracy theory, and talked about a very good prosecutor who was removed by bad people and that he wants Zelensky to retain (combining Shokin and Lutsenko into one person).

Yeah, that’s quite the expression.
I like how it looks like his lawyer has his head on the desk in frustration.

Yes, and he seems a bit too emotional and condescending.

I was trying to listen as a cult member and imagining how they'd spin it in their minds. I think Castor made that easy in a few instances.

It doesn't take much. The Dems have such an uphill battle despite having all the facts.

Are the GOP really this stupid?

During Vindman when someone GOP (don't recall who) was pushing the line that in the military a favor is an order but but in the civilian world. . . but the obvious corrollary was that in the mob world it is also an order.

Also, Rudy's tweet--didn't realize the degree to which his and Donald's tweet style have merged.

Nope, members question Sondland after lunch.

LTC Vindman states that a request from a superior is an order. And he’s right. This is the case for nearly all chains of command.

I am not able to listen to this completely. My impression is Sondland has thrown Rudy, Pompeo, Pence and Mulvany under the bus - but Trump is still standing. Correct?
