Not sure if you’re being sarcastic but it’s not about lax per se. Their classmates were playing what to them is a really important game - it was a gorgeous night at their beautiful home stadium - why were those kids not out supporting and enjoying the night? Don’t say home doing homework. Asking in seriousness hoping someone from Bullis has an answer because it was striking.

Considering the alleged incident involves a PVI parents then it probably is fact. Those kids learn their behavior from parents first. It is no secret that the PVI kids who play both football and lacrosse leave a little to be desired in how they behave in public and on the field. I personally have heard multiple players use a negative racial slur directed at an opponent, and better yet calling a child that is of latin descent the N-word is laughable on its own merit. These kids are allowed to just do what they want and there is no repercussions.

There is a reason that numerous teams will not schedule them for competition....no need to put their student body through that.

PVI needs to do better.

Sorry cupcake but my child doesn’t go to school there and I actually know how to parent but thanks for the advice. Can you clarify what a positive racial slur is for me though?

You sound like an a-hole - and trust me when it comes to racial slurs, Dematha kids can dish them out too.

“I know how to parent” and “cupcake” as a rhetorical response in the same sentence. They really that dumb over in Dulles? Is it the jet fumes?

He would turn the program around in two years.

Not to be too cynical, but I'd like to to know the age of the students chirping at the fans. Pretty sure they weren't under the age of 18. They knew exactly what they were doing and are encouraged to do so through every social media outlet.

It was a fine turnout by Bullis. If it was perceived as lacking or if there is something lacking it's probably because Bullis encourages pods of sports through recruitment and scholarships. At it's highest level in track and bball, that's okay I guess but it creates a weird and disjointed campus.

Giblin should go to Bullis and get that turned around. That program isn’t investing in anything other than losses to Landon and Prep! Landon has always invested heavily in all programs and Bullis being the most expensive school what are they doing? Again, taking beat downs by the BEARS against supposedly the best senior class in the DMV!

You really want a 61 year old with documented anger issues coming back to GP or Bullis? I'm surprised he's around kids at all.

Don’t all great coaches have anger issues?

You would have thought Landon was the home team last night .

Their fans and students travel well.

Yeah that's not what happened at all, and there is video. You can lie all you want but it's already been passed along to DeMatha administration. If they don't handle it, then it'll get escalated to the diocese. Maybe the media would be interested too, but at this point no one is out to ruin people's futures for racist comments.

Which, to be clear, is what started it. DeMatha baseball players behind the bench directing targeted harassment and racial slurs at the lone black player on the PVI team. Called him a "token", mocked his appearance, etc. Then the refs kicked those fans out of the game for "derogatory remarks." This is all on video.

Then after the game a DeMatha player threw a lacrosse ball at a PVI parent, called mothers "pigs" and many other choice curse words and slurs, and stole a flag they brought with them. Again, all of this is on video. It makes sense considering they had a player slug an opponent in a handshake line last year, but it was still alarming conduct. And it falls on the coaches who are clearly horrible role models and do not hold their kids accountable. They could hear the racial comments as well as anyone and did nothing to address their fans all game despite multiple warnings from the refs which is how things continued to escalate.

If any of these things are true, that's a huge mess.
