The Kane Show Discussion Thread

You should care. If this is your "look the other way" attitude you're supporting garbage humans.

That would be a huge mistake. He knows nothing about country music or the industry. Bobby knows the people.

Anonymous wrote:I’m surprised how many posts are on here semi defending Kane. There’s been enough said about him for me to believe it. Not just from Crazy Danni. Sarah Fraser is a reputable, honest, decent person and she said he was abusive to Natasha and her and Samy. There was a lot more going on than just yelling.

Like what? That’s what people have been asking for over and over and all we here is some intern’s gossip from years ago that is a big nothing burger. What type of abuse did Sammy and Sarah experience?

That’s exactly what I want to know. Aside from a bitchy attitude and someone yelling at you what was abusive? That describes a few of my past department heads from a few of my last commands. We’ve all been there right?

No one is going to talk. Large corporations and their NDAs and settlement agreements are very tight.

However, the radio industry has a LONG trail of bodies: a-holes, addicts, and abusers. Kane isn’t special, but rather the last (handful) of a dying breed. It’s one positive outcome of music and morning show streaming.
Radio isn’t god, and we no longer have to put up with narcissistic addicts controlling the airways.

If no one is going to talk, then all the comments alluding to “abuse” “narcissism from his former coworkers (and a random intern) need to stop. There is zero value added with all these vague comments.

THIS. ^^ Either give us actual legit evidence or shut up.

Damn. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm already missing Kane on the show. The co-hosts being alone on the show were tolerable for a few days when Kane was sick or on vacay with his girls but knowing he's not coming back makes it really freaking hard to tolerate and enjoy. I mean it's just a completely different feel. Boring... Kane made the show. (sorry, John. nothing personal lol)

On the payroll getting severance, so technically he's still "employed" by them.

Aw shieeet they're making Eric do the Joke Off with John now.

Welp, their Tampa station where Kane originally started dropped them.

Another DJ on that station is temporarily filling in, they have plans to launch a new morning show soon.

Looks like Baltimore is still carrying YMS or whatever it’s called. I tried to Google his other stations but that link was outdated.

Another troll post alluding to “something” but providing no details. I’m sure you work in radio and know what “the powers in iHeart” did. 🙄

Yeah can't provide details because #1 I don't know them and #2 again I still want to work in radio and don't really want to be blackballed. Let's just say when I met with the regional president of iHeart 4 years ago at a station launch party in a different market and told her I use to intern with Kane her response was "Oooooh, how was that?" and she didn't exactly ask it in a good way.

So again you know zilch and just want to keep posting you work in radio...

I told you what the regional president said to me. Even my SVP at the time would say "Yeah Kane has some...demons". If you don't want to believe me, that's fine. Don't really care. Just repeating what was said to me.

That was 4 years ago, according to you. Even if they “knew” he had “demons,” why’d it take them so long to fire him and/or what happened to suddenly terminate him?

Why did NBC protect Matt Lauer for so long? Companies protect those they believe help their brand and make money. If Elvis Duran was doing some shady ish you think iHeart would do anything right now? Probably not. Let's not forget that at one point Kane was pretty damn powerful on that station and in the company. Maybe finally the company was tired of covering for him or maybe finally they had no choice.

DING DING DING... Everyone is looking for some new explosive story, like an arrest or some outrageous incident...

Actually this is the culmination of years of an over-blown ego and recent refusal to work during a crisis (despite having a state-of-the-art home studio)...

You can only burn through so many relationships and when you start disrespecting the very people who protected you during past crises, eventually your time will be up.

Not to say Natasha (rumored to be in rehab again), Danni (Kane got fired, buy my book!), or anyone else didn't play a role in their toxic situations with him.

Lots of cray all around.

How do you know its because he refused to work? And don't start rehab rumors again, that woman has been through enough from this man.

Credentials or shut up. You guys talking out ya ass with your personal speculations stated like you're 'someone in the know' are so freaking annoying.

Unconfirmed, obvs... but supposedly YMS will be filling in up until the first Monday of May, then there will be a new show, either syndicated or local, filling the slot (unless, somehow, John Riley and Rose can pull a giant rabbit out of their ass and have high enough ratings to justify keeping them on the air long-term).
