ECNL moving to school year not calendar

Has anyone ever explained in these 1170+ pages why MLSN academies would want to stay BY? Just to maintain status quo? I’ve never seen anyone connect the dots for how BY is creating better professional players. “International alignment” isn’t itself a good reason unless it can be connected to a better result for MLS (not youth national teams). Otherwise it’s just logically the same as mandating all clubs stop using “SC” in their name and start using “FC” because more foreign clubs use that.

I dont think theres multiple ECNL bots. Just one guy who's kid plays on an ECNL team. Probabaly sitting around in his underwear commenting.

Crazy MLSN guy commenting on his own comments again, as if there are multiple people defending MSLN in this thread. The irony of everything he posts is lost on himself.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're an extreme ECNL, GA, MLSN supporter, to the point you're bashing other people and other leagues, you've got problems. It's youth soccer. Go care about something else.

That’s the heart of the matter, but don’t hold your breath for a logical and balanced response. It will be more along the lines of MLSN is so elite they can do whatever they want.

Its because MLSN is owned by MLS.

MLS is a professional league and because of this SY has no meaning.

Sent to my buddy who’s a director for ECNL club.

Only rules I’ve heard rumors about is US club is supposedly not going to allow players to be double rostered within its own league.

So you can play ECNL and RL for your same club but can’t play for separate clubs unless you’re a discovery player.

But no more GA or MLSN guest playing.

But how else would we let you know that your kids aren’t as good as my kid?… But obviously the GA parents already know they are number 2 so I guess we shouldn’t run it in.

How exactly does ECNL plan to police this?

Also if this was enforced at the ECNL level they'd be inviting a lawsuit that would effect the entire league.

I've seen clubs try to do this with players but 9x out of 10 its just hot air because they know that they'll lose in court and likely lose a top player.

Most people have figured out that you're a big number 2.

Did someone say MLSN can start their own BY u-little ecosystem?

This is an organization that still haven't announced the names of its tiers , 1 month away from the start of season.
Bunch of BY folks think white knights of MLS and NWSL are going to invest billions and offer free soccer to all kids as they sell the rights of players to mystery buyers that don't exist to cover costs. And it will all happen within the next year. It's Waiting for Guffman.

Omg this was the clarity I needed.

The turkeys that keep saying everyone with a different POV is a “BY folks” are parents that have kids that are in tiers below ECNL / GA / MLSN!

You all are so out of touch with what really happens and is happening. You just think your kid is amazing, and they’ve been robbed of an opportunity. Too salty to think straight.

Poor you!

The person has been writing a fantasy novel about MLSN and NWSL destroying ECNL and all of the other leagues that went 8/1.

No, multiple people are pointing out that there are many different potential outcomes. You obviously have your ECNL hat screwed on tight and want a specific outcome to occur. Which is odd because why do you care what other leagues do?

I don't care what MLSN does, we have experience with both leagues. Why does calling out MLSN ineptitude bother you so much?

Its just so onvious that you have an irrational hatred for MLSN.

Sorry your kid got cut from the team. Maybe playing at a lower more appropriate level will help them out. Just think how lucky you would be if your kid had an Aug birthday and they could play down with kids a grade below them in school when ECNL switches to SY.

You are such a mouther breather you can't even spell check your one sentence reply's. MLSN isn't going to give your kid a spot because you are on the internet white knighting for them.

Wait a minute, I figured out why you want MLSN to switch to SY so badly. You think that it will give your kid another chance after being cut if MLS switched from BY to SY. I'm sorry to be the one to inform you be MLSN already has biobanding. If they thought your kid had potential they wouldn't have cut them.

This! Same epiphany I just had.

I have no idea? Just was told if players are caught playing outside of their club it could result in their ECNL or RL club forfeiting games. I guess we will see what these new rules for ECNL will be according to the post.

Still can't answer how MLSN will stay BY in a SY landscape.
