This thread was never about fashion. It was always a thinly veiled opportunity to take shots at any woman associated with Trump.

No, it waa an attempt to contain commentary about the various odd fashion choices they make to one thread. If you go back to January 2016 or so, the various threads were overwhelming the fashion forum and recent topics because every day was a new oddity. Over the years, I think MT has hit almost a 50% approval even on this thread—people generally think she looks okay or even good although doesn't seem to acknowledge her changing body type and sometimes randomly decides to cosplay (pith helmet). But IT is just a disaster pretty much all the time in so many different ways. The black suit is funny because after eschewing appropriate choices for some many official appearances, she now pulls it out for what was supposed to be sort of an impromptu thing. It’s like the person who always wears a t shirt to the office suddenly showing up in a suit on dress down Friday. But I like the suit and hope she keeps it in the rotation for future work days.

It's a fine outfit - as if a professional stylist picked her clothes to be appropriate for an office meeting.
When she (or daddy) pays big bucks for hair, makeup and surgery that significantly change her appearance (good or bad) those items become part of her fashion.
And the cynicism of her politics absolutely affects how her appearance is viewed.

I agree that the Botox or surgery and makeup is also part of fashion. If she was natural, it would not make sense to mention it.

Let’s hope stomping on civil rights doesn’t stay in rotation in the future. But you’re right, for once Ivanka dressed appropriately for working at the WH.

So typical for a "good" Ivanka outfit. So close, and yet so far. The jacket is too long and poorly tailored. She (finally!) bought something appropriately sized for her chest, but it's way too big everywhere else. And she really needs to button both buttons, it looks ridiculous otherwise.

It always makes me remember a visit to my aunt and uncle's house when I was 10 and my cousin was snorting about a girl in her class who one day was wearing pedal pushers and high heels.
