The dip on gas prices at the pump are only temporary. It's entirely due to the USG releasing reserves from the strategic petroleum reserves. The SPR has now been depleted to its lowest levels since 1980. Release from the SPR has already been scheduled to stop in October.

Don't be surprised to watch as gas prices go back up in again in the fall. Also, natty gas is exploding in price. Many consumers are completely oblivious to what's in store for them this winter. They're about to get complete sticker shock this year from their heating bills. Also, if Russia messes up the world markets for oil and gas to punish the EU during the winter, gas prices will explode again since the SPR will also be simultaneously closed.

Just wait until Dec. when people are floored that their heating bills have doubled to tripled and gas at the pump is back to $5/gallon.

Your desperation is showing. As well as your bad faith. To see you salivating over the idea of rising prices to "own the libs" is more than a little nauseating.

Look at natty prices right now, idiot.

Natty? Learn English, comrade.

All you got? I guess the price explosion in natty gas is too much for you to acknowledge. Americans are in for a world of hurting this winter and you’re too obtuse to acknowledge it.

Sorry things are not going well for you. It must be hard to see Americans paying less at the pump. Don’t be mad.

What's not going well for who?

It’s still aways to the midterms so don’t count your chickens just yet.

They and their leadership have been pretty open about that for years.

Opposition party always makes hay when things are bad.

They are into their party, not the good of America.

Why do you think the Dems flipped on using the experimental shot and stopped talking so much about cases and deaths?

I marvel at your ability to miss the point. A true product of right wing propaganda.

Because we got reassurance from the FDA that it was safe, and BIDEN got shots in our arms.

Guess what! I paid $3.49.9 today for regular gas in Virginia. Not a good prognosticator, are you, OP!

Higher prices are coming. The admin bought time with the SPR release but the below chart should scare everyone with the end of the SPR release coming in under 90 days. The only reason oil (and gas prices) don’t climb big time will be because of worldwide economic recession. We really are in a no win situation.

So you’re glad it’s down to almost double what it was? Odd.

Don’t most homes in the DC are have heat pumps? If so, DCUMers will not believe prices are going up. That said, I agree that the winter prices are to Russia’s plan. Of course, if Mother Nature decides to have a warm winter, potential Russian plans may. E somewhat thwarted.
