It was throwing a bone to the girls side by giving them both a spot in GA1 |
long term visions dont benefit the girls set to graduate in the near future. They unfortunately will have to fend for themselves and figure out where and how to get exposure as GA is not there yet. Maybe in 4-6 years if ecnl has more deflections from the mlsn shakedown… maybe not. |
Ok ur boring now u said the same thing over and over. Deal with it. It’s done. Ur DD is graduating soon the ln figure it out. Paper is on MLSN and nothing will change it. |
lol. Despicable |
You are being a little over dramatic. Agree it’s not quite as good for those near graduating, but they are not fending for themselves. There is still lots of exposure for them. Go look at the coaches list for the GA national events from this year and the fall. You’ll see most of the same college coaches attend both ECNL and GA events especially the ones around the eastern US. The teams will still play at the same non-league showcases like Jeff Cup, VDA, Penn Fusion. The NVA coaches are likely to be the same next year as this year so they know the players and have the same college connections. If your daughter does not get recruited it won’t be because of lack of exposure. |
the boys are not going to become what you think. Soccer is not a sport most boys are willing to throw away life for in US. Very few are at the level to become college players. And even less so pros. Boys want to play HS sports. So you will find its still not going to grab the best of the best. There are still ECNL and MLSN2 which is going to dilute pool. Thus NVA will still be a mediocre team at MLSN level. |
ECNL Mid Atlantic is a drag. The change would be welcomed by pretty much every club in the division. Chances are there will be additional clubs that make the same exact move in the coming years. |
No one cares about high school soccer. How you been to any games? Serious players will not care. MLSNext will give the boys exposure to more college coaches. Those that are interested in continuing soccer into college welcome the change. |
first of all its just not just HS soccer. There are multiple kids who play football that are very good players. And yes many boys do care about HS soccer as it’s not exactly about the game. Its a social aspect. They got plenty exposure in ECNL and don't send crap into colleges for boys. MLSNext will not change this, other then a bunch of boys getting cut. Be careful what you wish for. |
Next season when NVA beats VRSC in every age group, what will be the excuse? That you’re new in the league? LOL |
They won’t play each other because they are in different leagues. NVA is in tier 1. VRSC tier 2. Separate leagues. |
Who cares about college or pros? The appeal for NVA to have MLSN is money. The club can make more money from 1 MLSN + 2 GA teams than 2 ECNL teams. It’s that simple. |
lol Hope it pans out for you and you collect your “paper”….. |
next season we will see… if jeff cup and other events are going to be the marketed report cards to coaches they teams better be placed high as games against local talent wont cut it. |
