Stone Bridge and Dominion of the past may have a few years in there too. Needless to say Loudoun has been producing all state teams for quite a few years.

It’s not really their fault that they play such a soft schedule, but they play such a soft schedule it’s hard to know how good they are. Even one or two tough opponents might give you enough of a gut check, allow you to spot things to tighten etc. There’s nothing like that for Indy until deep into the playoffs.

I think this team that they play Saturday is a challenge. They seem to have about 8 committed kids to places like Denver USAF, UMass etc.

Indy was not the best team last year. They beat Riverside by 1 goal once... Madison beat them by two and didn't even make it out of the region. Would put them between 5-7 in the state last season.

This is a joke.

I watched the stream this morning. Even though the game was out of hand by final score, this kid kept it from being much worse.
I don't think I have seen a goalie make so many non-stick saves in my life.

Loyola Academy is a good team. You're right. That's the test we've been looking for here.

2024 Robinson was the best team at all levels.

Since every team had close loses last year it's hard to for sure know who the best public school team was but I'd probably lean towards the teams that had more quality wins. West Potomac, Langley, Madison, Robinson, and Cosby all had better resumes than Indy last year. Could also make an argument for Riverside too.

Yes the Robinson 2024 team was hands down the best public school team in the state and in the DMV that year.

All of the teams that are state playoff candidates have fairly similar strength of schedule, save Indy. Madison has/had the toughest single matchup in STAB. Robo, Battlefield, YT all have solid slates. Outside of Loyola and Battlefield, Indy plays the little sisters of the poor for two months.

Heard those Little Sister schools have sweet helmet decals though and great snacks.

And what does SOS get you? All that matters are wins in District, Regional and State playoff games.
Period end of story.
If you goal is to play the toughest games and win individual awards, you miss the point. I don't see any banners hung for "toughest schedule".
You hang a banner for State Champion and if thats not your goal, well........
