And honestly most people would not make much money from re-recording their masters. Let’s take someone like Belinda Carlisle who I absolutely love and loved in the 80s. If she decided to re-record heaven is a place on earth which is a freaking masterpiece of a song… I’m sure it would get some buzz but I really don’t think it would generate a lot of sales. Where is Taylor has this huge fan base of people instantly downloading and expecting their music sources to play her versions. The demand is different for her as compared to most artists and their past albums.
