Players generally do at 11v11. But the trick is the footskills remain. |
Thats not the issue. If you belive that your kid is being held back because of rae how are you addressing it? If you say nothing then rae is just an excuse. |
10% poster again. Spot on! The impact of RAE is NOT defining to the outcome. It’s an impact. Almost all of soccer is skill development. You’re slow, go learn to be fast. You’re soccer dumb, go watch the pros and increase your soccer iq. You have bad first touch, work on first touch. Soccer is literally the most sport that is most accessible at the elite level to the largest swath of population. |
You’re assuming people are complaining about RAE as an excuse and doing nothing to address it. That’s not always the case. You’re assuming everyone’s experience is like yours. It’s not. |
Yes…because sole delays, scoops, and passes behind instead of in front are all just fantastic outdoor skills. |
Kids arent stupid. They know better than the parents that they are going from playing with older kids to playing with younger kids. It just isn’t that big of a deal to call it playing down. I would say the same thing if a kid moved from NL to RL as well. And you can’t really use the term playing up without the corresponding playing down, right? |
Futsal players can play direct and posession in field. Field players can only play direct. Sometimes it matters sometimes it doesnt. |
Of course you can improve doing these things with a Q4. I think the argument is, with all things being equal (older kids can take private lessons as well) that a Q1 has an advantage over a Q4 generally speaking. |
Futsol is faster pace, in tighter spaces, affords way more touches on the ball, and requires shooting on a smaller goal. These directly translate to 11 v 11. |
Im assuming rightfully that theres nothing you can do to change your kids birthday. If you feel rae is a thing out work everyone else and be a standout player. Your alternative is to give up, be a victim, and blame rae. Which it sounds like youre already setting up to do. |
You invent the 10% thing and then assume it doesn't change. Not really a basis for analysis. |
Girl soccer doesn't translate to boys soccer. They are too different to lump together. |
My daughter played on boys Futsal team. Im completely aware of the differences. |
Its funny watching the RAE excuse person move from one excuse to another and the girls dad cut them off at every turn. |
This is the girl parent. My oldest has played for over 10 years. I've heard every excuse there is. Im not intentionally cutting them off. Its just the direction they're going leads to nowhere. But I do believe this is their kids last year playing. The parent wants to control everything and high level soccer doesnt work that way. |
