| I'm just getting caught up on this thread, but a PP referred to Leslie as sophisticated. That is not a word that I would use to describe her. She might be sophisticated in real life, but the person presented in the show was not, almost the opposite. |
| Leslie was nice enough but she seemed emotionally immature. Theresa seemed cunning, to me. She got her man though. Hope he doesn’t blow through her retirement monies. |
And you made a choice to watch this. |

| Here's my take on Gerry. The women's value to him was only based on his interest in them. Once he was no longer interested, he cared not one whit about them as individuals. Dispatched them as quickly as possible, they were strangers to him at that point. There's a coldness to him, evident in his treatment of his ex-girlfriend as well. I hope Theresa will be okay. Leslie is for sure better off. |
The probably think Theresa doesn’t need support at this point. |
Do you prefer your women to be fragile than strong? |
But it's also supporting the show, right? Happy ending, yay! Also, it never hurts to be kind, especially when it ended up being much more complicated, negative even, than she envisioned. |
But you would have all criticized him if he continued to show support for the women he had cut, and you know it (ie, you would have said he was leading them on or disloyal to the remaining contenders). He was nice to walk them out for private conversations after the rose ceremonies. And I don’t remember a lot of men crying because it bothered them to hurt someone emotionally. |
Doesn’t the show always end this way? Except he tried to break the news to the loser in a more dignified, private way? |
I agree, and think that's partly why Faith and Leslie took it so hard. If you haven't experienced it, being love bombed then abruptly discarded is HARD. You feel like you're crazy because he was just saying these amazing dream-like things to you less than a day before. It's a hallmark of narcissistic behavior. You are an object to them, not a real, live person valuable in her own right deserving care and respect. |
I don't like women romantically at all so I have no preference. Theresa seemed sneaky, to me. It worked, for her in the shortrun, hopefully he won't drain her accounts and leave her worse than he found her. Leslie missed that Gerry didn't want her because she was very focused on her wanting him and what she wanted. |
DP. You’re reading way too much into things in what seems like a desperate attempt to vilify Theresa. It’s not a good look…for you. |
After promising her she was the one in their overnight less than 24 hours earlier? He handled things so badly. |
