$7/gallon gas is coming

But, under their understanding of the world, I will sit and wait to watch them kiss Biden’s feet for miraculously lowering gas prices so damn quickly!!!

Yes, by their lights, they should be here slobbering over how amazing Biden is.

I used to pay $2/gallon

That was before Trump threatened MBS that he needed to cut production or we would withdraw all of our troops.

When will decreasing gas prices decrease grocery prices? Or will it?

Yes in 1992 or during the pandemic when the economy crashed.

Comments like this one really concern me--as does the American insistence on low gas prices indefinitely and forever. There is a social cost to being so reliant on cars. Europeans, who pay almost twice (on average) what we pay for gas, have known this for decades and use gas taxes to support and improve public transportation and mitigate the effects of pollution and climate change. Two dollars a gallon for gas is simply not sustainable--or right.

The $2 gas poster are just trolling. Don’t feed them.

Tractors don’t run on songs nor do the trucks that get the food to stores.

The national average for gas prices is now below $4 a gallon, according to Gasbuddy--first time since March.

Low gas prices are guaranteed by the 29th Amendment.

Well, in a way.
Prices are down because consumption is down. It is down to nearly the levels at the height of the pandemic. Not because people don't have anywhere to go or because they have all bought EVs... but because they cannot afford the prices. That is not good. But, it is Biden's goal. And, the goal of everyone pushing the green new deal. Make prices so prohibitive that they will stop buying gas.

I have limited my driving for sure. As has my spouse. We have definitely changed what we do and where we go. But, it is not sustainable.

I'm glad prices are down, but the reason for the drop in prices is concerning.

You are not entitled to $2/gallon gas. This is capitalism and it's how it works. To fix the prices for you would be socialism, amirite?
