It's still $5.20/gallon at the expensive stations in Bethesda and NW DC. Absolute thievery. I paid $3.68 this past weekend in Chesapeake, VA when driving back from OBX. |
Stations in Bethesda snd NWDC aren’t able to offset operating costs with convenience store sales. Plus rents. Compare that to a Wawa in Chesapeake where people wait in line to load up on coffee and road food. It’s hard to stay in business if your margins are only .06 a gallon. |
Last week, gas was $4.09 on Kent Island. Gas this week is $3.99 in Laurel, and I got $4.05 this morning in Crofton. Lots of places outside of Montgomery County where prices are dropping significantly. MoCo gas stations are paying the higher taxes, and property costs so the prices are still inflated more there. |
That’s weird. It’s almost like oil and gas companies were keeping prices artificially high in order to achieve record profits and try to get Republicans in power or something. Weird. |
This. At some point, if we are lucky, rank and file Americans will wake up to this and stop listening to Fox News. |
Yep. And it cannot be reiterated enough. |
Then why weren’t they doing same or worse under Trump? |
Why weren’t they trying to Republicans in power under Trump? |
Where on earth did all those MAGAs go who just could not freak out enough and try to blame Biden when, in reality, the oil and gas markets are complicated and fluctuations of this nature are caused by multiple factors hitting all at once.
But, under their understanding of the world, I will sit and wait to watch them kiss Biden’s feet for miraculously lowering gas prices so damn quickly!!! |
I passed by $3.44 yesterday.
Thanks Joe! |
