| I am just curious about how people perceive their own weights...what is your height and weight, and how do you think you are weight-wise? (thin, overweight, etc?) |
| 5' 1", about 145. Overweight. Been working at it slowly, and I've lost 25 pounds. Working towards losing at least 25 more. |
| 5'11", 155 pds. I feel great.I could tone up a little. Only Hollywood would think I'm fat at a size 6. |

5'6", 138, larger bone structure (I'm not delicate in any way, shape or form)
size 8, sometimes a 6 age 36 I'm healthy and fairly athletic and look decent but I don't have a great body image. I don't think anyone would call me overweight but I would love to loose 10 pounds. I feel much better when I'm thinner. I wish I didn't feel this way because objectively, there's nothing wrong with how i look now. BUT i feel better about myself when i'm about smaller. I've struggled with this issue for years. |

5 foot 6-7ish.
115 pounds (could be a few more, I think the scale is broken). I think I am a good weight. Thin, but it's genetic and I look nice. |
| 5'8 150 used to weigh 140 and would like to get there again. Strange build, athletic and size 2/4 at 140 4/6 at 150. Very small waist, but larger thighs. I feel fine but would like to lose ten and continue toning legs. Was 135 a few years ago and I though I looked great but most people thought I was too thin, again build issue, larger bones etc |
| 5'7 and 146 would like to get to 130-135. Have lost 11 pounds. Athletic build. |
PP, I can completely relate ... I'm 5'5", near your weight (usually 135-137), same clothing sizes, one year older. I try to keep in shape, am modestly athletic, but have a very poor body image. For me, I'm small up top compared to lower, so I don't feel I look balanced at all. I've also been more happy when I've weighed less, because in my case weight tends to go where I don't need it, like my hips/behind (and not to the girls!) |
| 5'9 and 128. I hate to admit it (issues, anyone??), but I feel SO fat over my normal weight of 125lb (yes, a whopping 3 lb lighter!). I have a tiny tiny tiny frame, and do not carry extra weight well at all. |
| 5'9 159lbs. I wear a size 8/10. I lost over 30lbs in the past 5 months, so I feel good about that. And I just feel strong and healthy. That being said, I could stand to lose another 10. I am the epitome of an apple shape. All of my extra weight is in my belly and breasts. I have no butt and no hips with skinny legs. It is a weird look and I'd love not to have a little bulge in my gut. My goal is to not ave to move the big weight to "150" on the scale. |
This was me too for most of my late teen/adult life. Looking back I wish I was as toned as I was then....my older (45 yo) body is now thinner but less toned and while I look good in clothes, size 2. I am not crazy about myself in shorts/bathing suits, etc. Sigh....... |
| 5'9” somewhere between 115-120. Feel fantastic |

5'8" 235. Quite obviously much too heavy. However, I have already lost 45 pounds and am on my way to where I used to be. That said, when I used to weigh 130, I thought I was fat and ugly. I went to therapy for 6 years and finally learned to love myself. Even at the weight I am at now, I like who I am and am very content. I am losing the weight for health reasons only and not for what society thinks of me. Even though my blood pressure and cholesterol are great...I don't want to risk it.
I am lucky that I carry the weight well and don't look 235. I have a large frame and muscular build and that helps a lot. As does working out 4 times a week. I am hoping to go from a size 16-12 within the next year or two. |
| I'm 5'5" and weigh 141. I would like to be closer to 133. I'm not what you would call fat, and I am in good shape, but I never have had a great body image because I have a pretty muscular build and broad shoulders and I wish I was more petite. I think if I had bigger breasts *or* a smaller waist I would be happier, so I'll have to work on making my waist smaller, but it's not easy. Especially because I like beer so much. |
