LC has almost single-handedly slowed the development of DS and more importantly is killing off DS's love of the game.

Why not ask to finish season on different team?

There's only one other 'squad' if you even want to call it that and if we move to Alexandria we get banned for the next season due to league rules.

I am at one of these smaller clubs and new kids have already started training/trying out/checking out the team. You may have to officially finish out the season with your current club but you can start checking out a different club -- it could make a big difference for your child.

Correct, what I meant was to finish on another team within lmvsc. Go to the "other squad", your kid may have more fun. If you decide to join Alexandria for Fall you don't have to sit out.

if you go to a non-ccl club you can likely play assuming you don't owe money to LMVSC. call the local clubs and ask to practice

Where did you see or hear this? I have heard of no such plans.

Lol, PP looked at website and that info is for last year. It hasn’t been updated.

Makes sense. The tryout schedule links to July 2020. Great to see the club is thinking forward and providing accurate and current information on their website, albeit from a year ago. 😂

Agreed and I'm sure they aren't only ones. probably will update it once tryout schedule is released.

Not the only ones? You may be onto something. Gunston is likely the only club with outdated information. The clubs that are thriving have current information and is easily found without going through multiple clicks or screens.

I didn't say I thought it was ok just that probably not the only ones. I don't think it's a good luck at all especially so close to the new year of tryouts. At a minimum old info should have been taken down and updated with Info coming soon type of thing.

Apparently LMVS will continue with the renewal option and academy for 21-22. Administratively, they are so bad where they indicate this is because the fields are closed. It appears they have revised last years message only changing the season date.

https://lmvsc.org/travel-soccer-tryouts/#renewal_option

For one, I hesitate to return if the academy structure stays the same, we don’t know the coaches, and, as much, we don’t know what league LMVS will be a part of next year. There are a lot of unknown factors that need to be addressed before I will consider my DC returning. Currently, I’m 80% gone last year was 50/50 but thought leadership was inn place but everything fell apart and there is not plan in place to fix it.

I bet that is an oversight. Tryouts are happening. Dates have been announced. Spoke to DC coach and he will be returning but coaching slate is still yet to be announced. I agree that there needs to be more clarification on where they will play. As long as we are keeping the same coach I plan to return.

I bet your kid is an oversight. Keep paying money for oversights and lack of professionalism in the org.

I'm not even going to address the first part of your comment. Our coach is very professional and is doing a great job with the players he is working with. I care more about my kid's development and what he is learning/doing on the field than what some dumb website says.

80%? Just be a 100%, who would want to be near you on the sideline. I sure wouldn't, you probably talk crap about every kid who gets playing time over your little kid. Why attack a poster who may be happy with their situation, it's their money. If you aren't happy go somewhere else. No one is forcing you to stay.

It’s in the works and that’s why LB is trying to merge the club.
