The Ivies are not longer test optional. So if you are banking on that , you better start SAT prep now. I hope you have a lot in your savings account as well, because there is no athletic or merit aide to be had. And if you can afford capital, you won’t get any need based aide either.

With all the bad or deliberately misleading info on this page I am reading this and every other post with extreme skepticism.

Most schools for athletes are not test optional. Even if regular admissions is test optional the coach typically asks players to take SAT. Maybe NCAA requirement again?

NCAA stopped SAT requirement in 2023

That was for NCAA eligibility, but schools can still require them for admission.

Even nescac, while test optional, still requires scores for athletes. Ask how I know.

The heat made it a rough one. Several girls had to sit out and were not allowed to rejoin the tryout due to the heat. I suspect the coaches are familiar enough with at least some of these girls that it won’t hurt their chances. At the end, they broke the remaining girls into two groups for scrimmages. It’s unclear whether those groups were random or reflect potential team placements. Good luck to all of the girls.

It was too hot at Capital tryouts? Is this a joke?

But who was there? M&D DC stalwarts show up? Or just BLC and others?
Anonymous
3/4 of the MDDC team was there. As predicted

So who are the Capital coaches?
Anonymous
Doesn't sound like big numbers. Hopefully for them the right ones to fill 2 teams.
