Yep if FCPD's only plan is for AP to flip...I hate to break it to everyone here but she ain't flipping especially with the amount of time that has passed and the caliber of legal counsel she has. FCPD doesn't have a strong enough case to convict BB in my opinion.

This is such a dumb take. I wouldn't want a suspected murderer in my neighborhood PERIOD, let alone seeing him walking around the neighborhood with his daughter as if nothing happened.

I am concerned for the child's life. He got rid of his wife to be with his lover, what if the au pair doesn't want his daughter around?

I think we should all be trying to remember facts that may somehow help the police, and share with police to help them find the truth (whatever that is). Is everyone who knew those involved sure they have shared everything that may help? We don’t know what the police have found (and are stuck with that), so we shouldn’t make presumptions about what may or may not help.

But, this is also a way to let some emotions out and try to make some limited sense of it all. For sycamore ridge neighborhood, Brendon is smart and in law enforcement. Why do we think he was walking around the neighborhood with the au pair after the murders for everyone to see? So much effort must have went into concealing that up to that point (if people in the neighborhood knew about that, there would have been some kind of intervention, right?). Why isn’t he and they being smarter about it after the murders, ideally to respect the memory of Christine (but also to keep them out of trouble)? Even if she did nothing more than shoot JNR in self defense, why would they be out like that, knowing what that would start to look like? (That is when the vehement dismissals of any suggestion of a relationship started to come more slowly in our house)

And there really is nothing at all on JNR? I think it is nice that people who knew him have taken the time to share. But there is nothing at all involving some kind of prior violence? Nobody reading this is holding something back out of respect for the deceased?

And what was the au pair’s initial “cooperation” with police? Is there any way she told them at that time that she shot JNR?

The truth would be what is best for the girl in the long run, right? (and still time for those involved to be forthcoming and tell the truth).

Off topic. Had a nice memory of CB today. A group of parents and kids walking down stable brook. Coming back from the farm maybe. The parents were kind of breaking off to their homes. CB didn’t notice the kids had all stuck with her, and walked another 10 yards or so before figuring out they were following her and child home. The kids had to be kind of peeled off,,,,

In the 113 pages of this thread, this may have been mentioned but I just don’t remember (and I’m not about to go look). Was searching the Fairfax County court records and it seems that Juliana had a civil case brought against her in May 2023 by AmEx for unpaid debt.

Interesting timing and also makes me think she is definitely not the one paying for the attorney.

It's in BB's interests for her to have a good attorney.

This is the exact strategy that worked for them to skate in the Robert Wone case - misdirect and otherwise shut up.

If they had enough to make a strong case for serious charges against BB, he would have been arrested.

I'm very curious what the statement that BB was out of the house when AP shot JR was based on. If the prelim goes forward in April we will get a much better sense of the Commonwealth's case.

I believe that it has been stated by family that JR had no priors for violent conduct.

Anyone out in FF can look at the docket. Would love to know the basis for the prelim delay and any additional facts that came out in that round of filings.
