Ha! I think you’ve nailed it (pun intended). |
people involved in "religion and church" can have full and active sex lives. who says he wasn't "tapping that a** with every ounce of git up" he had.
sheesh! |

Thank you for all the former ANC people shooting straight with us as to what was really happening. All Jen’s image crafting led us to believe something entirely different in her posts. You have nothing to gain so I believe you. |
I appreciate the former ANC people telling their sides of the story. Quite different from what was portrayed in social media. |
At the time, I thought he cheated with Rachel Hollis. It seems her and Jen's relationship crashed after both of their marriages ended. |
Tyler's post today about Brad Pitt is not helping him ward off the gay accusations. |
What does Brandon do for a living now? Is he still a pastor? |
Don’t think he’s pastoring. He’s some how a “Sr VP” of a land company in the Hill Country selling mini-ranches. It is really an insult to real VP level executives who work years and are generally really smart to earn that kind of title. Brandon, on the other hand, knows someone who hooked him up. He has no real managerial or VP level experience in business or sales operations. But whatever. Call yourself VP, he’s really a sales guy. And, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a sales person. Sales make the world go round in my opinion and is a very tough profession. I think he’s a f-in joke. All he does is post romantic photos of the rustic-ish front porch of their sales office, with captions like, “this is my office, everyday. Come find your piece of paradise.” He tries to make cool photos but somehow always strategically positions his $80K Jacked Up Ford diesel truck in the background… as if he’s ever pulled anything that remotely requires a 3/4 ton diesel. Prior to this gig, it looked like he was trying his hand at high end remodels of bathrooms and kitchens. Guess that didn’t work out. Sure talked a good came tho. |
Wow. Who just tried to pivot the hate from Jen to Brandon??? I’ve got a good guess…. 🤔🤣 GO AWAY JEN this thread is hate towards you, not Brandon. |
Jen setting herself up to go in for the kill… |
Plenty to go around here. |
This thread is not to hate on Jen but to help understand what has happened to Jen. This has been a safe place to question things without her social media vultures picking us apart in their blind loyalty. Some of us were drawn to her through Bible studies years ago. Her 7 series had these cute clips in her home where she seemed unpretentious and genuinely concerned with helping others. Even their reality show gave a glimpse of her easy comfort and healthy bond with Brandon. Hence why we’ve been horrified at the way they have both lost their way and no longer look or sound like themselves. It’s disconcerting in two people edging 50.
I’m guessing most of us had an affection for Jen but feel betrayed by her dramatic character change. The way you feel when your favorite show doesn’t renew the contract for their expensive high quality writers and the replacements destroy your favorite characters. The moral contract with her original audience has been violated. In fact her posts regularly mock and dismiss her original audience like she’s embarrassed of her roots. |
I don’t see it as hate, but rather the whole thing as a shell game- as a former ANC’er for about 4 years, my family went there because it started as a really welcoming and non-judgmental church to learn the Word and do great things in the community. And it was that for quite a while. Maybe it still is for some. We volunteered over and over, served in the community, which was great. In retrospect, however, never felt we were really part of the “family.” Maybe we own some of that for not diving in more ourselves. But anyway, the broader angst is that, in the end, it was just like any other place— it was run by folks, who I feel had another agenda more for themselves than for the good of the church. That that’s my fault for thinking it was more altruistic. So yeah, there is bitterness for both of these fools, who, in the end, are just as broken as the rest of us. We fell for the con. They seem to be both fake and overly ambitious to really lead from the heart and with authenticity. Haven’t been to a church since— and have no desire to go back. |
Truly this is more just about accountability. She is STILL in the business of making money off her followers. It's like with the Hollises - people aren't mad they got divorced, it's that they "sold" the idea of these exceptional and amazing marriages - both couples - Hatmakers & Hollises - and made money off of their fans/followers selling that image, when there were apparently LOTS of issues going back at least 5 years prior to their divorces that they glossed over and hid. I mean, look at all the money they all made in that timeframe from selling this image. Now they are pivoting to other ways to make more money, often in areas where they aren't really qualified. They make money off of other people's backs via these parasocial relationships. The more we bring that to light, the better, so that other people can go in with eyes wide open when considering forking over money for their courses or conferences, etc.
Also, with both Jen and the whole Hollis/Heidi Powell crew, we are seeing narc behaviors and tendencies and, in some instances, very manic and unhealthy behavior, disordered eating, questionable posting of content including their kids (to put it mildly), and the continued grift of trying to sell their lifestyles. I don't think we would ever "get through" to Jen, Brandon, Rachel, Dave, Heidi, etc. However, we can get through to people who follow them and give them their hard-earned money. |
