Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

No way, she's just full of shit. I'm sorry for her loss, because I do know what it's like, but stop the flowery over descriptive prose with unnecessary embellishing because she comes across as an idiot instead of a real person.

"I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right," she wrote.

It is so interesting that you pulled out these sentences as untruthful. I was cringing at their dishonesty as I was reading them only minutes earlier on the NYTimes.

Ultimately I think Markle is just not as smart as most people, and that is why she keeps pitching things incorrectly, striking the wrong chord and pissing a large portion of the population off. That and the fact she is a narcissist.

But most people detest them. They lost the respect of people who initially adored them. Now they are viewed as money grubbing celebrity wannabes. It’s pathetic.

I think they’re awesome. I’d rather hang out with them over any royals in the world. Most people I know who aren’t racist xenophobes agree. If everyone hates them, they would have gotten that ridiculous Netflix deal. Money talks, not message boards or British tabloids.

Also, who gives a shit what anyone else thinks? Those people who don’t like them didn’t want to like her anyway because she’s a black American who completely and utterly outshone everyone else in that family. Good for her for recognizing that she was in a no win situation, shackled and critiqued for life, and found out a solution that was far superior to her other options.

Nice language, PP. I have to agree with 2nd poster that they have become pathetic.

Meghan was a nobody, black B-actress when Harry plucked her out from obscurity. But she seems to struggle at every turn. Meghan is every bit chaotic as her family. Acorn does not fall far from the tree.

The latest news that she released is about her miscarriage. If she does not like the press, then don't bate them.

I thought it was poorly (cringe-inducing) written. She’s pretentious and thinks she’s being profound when a simpler delivery would be more effective and relatable. But her account of sharp cramping isn’t off - that was my experience. And I too was caring for a toddler and initially tried to remain calm despite being in considerable pain and, eventually, panic. Why do you doubt her account? Sincerely curious.

I'm the PP you responded to. The whole thing reads like she's painting herself as an ethereal Madonna come down from heaven instead of a real person experiencing raw emotions. The miscarriage experience sucks. There's a lot of blood, and I was scared, angry, and just sad. I wasn't kissing my husbands clammy hand wet from our mutual tears. I was numb, in shock, and trying to understand what was happening. None of this piece resonated with me or felt true. Who is the intended audience?

I loved them when they initially became a couple and was rooting for them. I watched their wedding and cheered them on. As someone who comes from a small and dysfunctional family, I sympathized with her estrangement from siblings and her father, particularly at a special time in her life. But the nonsense “woe is me” from Markle about the press coverage when this was (is) clearly part of the deal of joining the BRF and their self promotion while simultaneously begging for privacy, has throughly turned me off. She’s a climber, period. She found her golden ticket. And Harry seems like he’s lost and Markle took advantage of that. The fact that she has virtually no friends and the obvious narcissism has turned me off for good.

You misunderstand - I don't think anyone doubts the account of the basic facts - it is the embellishment and way its worded, as you say yourself, it is cringe inducing.

She is just checking boxes at this stage

1. interview a high profile feminist - check
2. write an op-ed for the NYTimes - check

I think she is. She is very thirsty, thinks really highly of herself and LOVES her new status and $$$$. I love how her royal status is in her NYT byline. If it weren't all about her she would have used her story to partner with a support group or something. But it's always about her and is she ok, etc

She had a platform and threw it away and now is trying to make them a thing from their CA mansion. They are now dull and dysfunctional.

Another “look at me” moment from someone who so desperately wanted privacy. When will this narcissist and her lost soul husband just go away? They add no value to society and continue to embarrass themselves and the BRF. It’s one train wreck after another. Most people would have learned by now but their constant need for attention keeps adding fuel to the fire.

How far along was she?

Shame on the NYT!

I couldn’t tell if I was reading a NY Times piece or a college application essay. “For the first time we are really seeing each other.” JFC

As a narcissist, it's unlikely she even felt those emotions--they are emotional sponges and thrive on the need for admiration, empaths are highly sensitive and in tune with other people's emotions. Many women don't go through a lot of emotion or grief over a miscarriage, especially early on. But it doesn't fit her narrative at all, and it would not suit her image to say "hey, I had a miscarriage, these things happen and it wasn't that big of a deal".

Everything she does and says is manipulative. She lost me years ago when she said she didn't know who Harry was when she was told about him. Yeah, right.

She should have kept her miscarriage to herself. But surely PP you can’t possibly believe your miscarriage experience was like everyone else’s. How narcissistic of you to think your experience was the only way.

Meghan said: 'I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second'.
This is pretty melodramatic stuff coming from a woman who sued the tabloids for writing about her private life.
