It seems to line up pretty well with how Trump is acting now—just kind of losing more of his filter.

With the MRIs and cognitive tests I suspect Trump was already diagnosed, they are just hiding it from us.

He received 3 Montreal cognitive assessments in rapid succession. Medically, the protocol is to do this ONLY when the patient has scored badly during the first. Why? Because there aren't that many variants of the test, so a patient can remember the questions from test to test and score better every subsequent time, making the assessment meaningless. You ONLY do this when the patient has shown abnormally low cognitive functioning during the first test, such that following the decline is more important than the patient remembering the questions.

So yes, his doctors are lying by omission.

Cognitive function decline speeds up for humans in their 70s and 80s. This is basic human science.

Er, my mom was 84 when she died from leukemia, and she had full control of her mental and physical faculties until her death. In fact, she gave a biochemistry lecture to her doctors (from her hospital bed) the week she died.

That’s fantastic for her, I hope that it bodes well for you too.

However, trumps daddy had dementia and then Alzheimer’s. Trump is failing quickly, and he didn’t start out that sharp.

Some people are still sharp in their 80’s. Most have at least some decline compared to younger years even if it’s not really noticeable.

Some are very sharp indeed but obviously no 80 year old should be expected to attempt to perform the most powerful and demanding job in the world for FOUR years. Common sense, correct?

Yeah... about Trump and all that aspirin...

Questions emerge, and are answered.

Trump in a single gaggle on Air Force One just threatened:

-- a second strike against Venezuela
-- Cuba
-- Mexico
-- Colombia
-- Iran
-- Greenland (which in turn would be an attack on the EU and Denmark)

He’s drunk with power. But the signs of him slipping are mounting. During the press conference post-Venezuela attack, he was struggling to stay awake and stood with his eyes closed swaying while the general was speaking. This was between 11:30am-noon.

And during his portion of the press conference, he kept going off script, most notably during a long unrelated riff about his use of the national guard in DC and elsewhere (full of inaccuracies and lies). You should’ve seen Rubio’s face as Trump was speaking.

More evidence of Trump’s mental illness and his lack of normal inhibitions/impulse control.
Apparently he threw Machado under the bus because he’s pissed she won the Nobel Peace prize instead of him.

Yup. Trump may have dementia too but has always been a narcissistic sociopath.

I can't stand Trump, but this headline is clickbait. He didn't have a problem walking down the stairs.

Trump now knows the military will give him no push back about illegal orders. What possible use would we have for Cuba? We’d end up having to support them.

+1

One of the many reasons why people consider Biden a better president even though their approval ratings are similarly terrible. Trump is both unhinged and unfit while Biden was just a much less dangerous unfit.

The journalist Michael Wolff, who has written several books about Trump and still maintains contacts in the Trump administration, talked to a WH official after Trump's Venezuela press conference. It turns out that WH staff were caught off guard by Trump's comments about the US "running" Venezuela, etc.--likely a result of his dementia. It was supposed to be a military operation--not a takeover. Trump's words changed the whole character of the exercise in a moment. There is no plan to deal with the aftermath of extracting Maduro from the country.

You don't need scuttlebutt for this, it was clear from how they described things in contrast to what Trump blurted out.

Republicans in the Congress are sitting on their hands over the raving speech trump is giving right now. Totally unhinged and divorced from reality.
