Montoya didn't win

She absolutely won. There are two winners per race because this is a primary. Montoya finished in second place and about 100 votes behind Harris. BOTH Harris and Montoya won and will advance to the general elections.

1,000 votes. You missed a zero.

As of Friday, May 17: Harris 32,557, Montoya 31,585.

Voted for someone else in the primary, but even though I don’t generally want to support incumbents, I will vote for Harris over Montoya. -DP

I'm voting for Montoya over Harris. To me they're pretty similar except Harris is an incumbent and I feel we need new blood.

Harris and Montoya are both attorneys, but there is where the similarities end. You may be OK with Montoya being uninformed about education in a school system the size of MCPS, but I think it's a better idea to have an informed policy maker like Harris.

I met Montoya at an event and she really rubbed me the wrong way, so that's why Harris has my vote.

^^^And I'm tickled by the idea that the people who hate Harris for being an incumbent, and/or supporting the 2020 boundary analysis, and/or supporting inclusive books in the ELA curriculum, will have to vote for Harris because Montoya something something weed.
I like neighborhood schools and don't care about weed. Besides as a progressive, Harris is probably pro-weed as well. So I'm voting Montoya.

Where do you get the idea of where Montoya is on the "neighborhood schools" issue? Her website has only one potential reference I can see: "I will advocate for policies that address the disparities among schools and populations to ensure that leadership at all levels is committed to student success."

How does the apple ballot support both Montoya and Stewart when Stewart supports Harris? It will be funny to watch an Apple Ballot candidate go against another Apple Ballot candidate in November.

Diaz is a liar

On X she wrote she’s not moms 4 liberty then after the primary whoops she changed her tune

Because the MCEA is not Laura Stewart, and Laura Stewart is not the MCEA. You will not see an Apple Ballot candidate go against another Apple Ballot candidate in November. The Apple Ballot only has one endorsement per seat.

Laura Stewart has been planning to run for years. Jill made her run and she will follow all of her and MCEAs orders.

LOL. Laura Stewart can think for herself because she has put in the work to know the issues. It always helps to have the MCEA endorsement, but she is not following orders from MCEA. Other candidates may feel overly beholden to MCEA but that's not a problem for Laura.

You mean hug it out Harris? She blew the Biedelman issue and does not take school safety seriously. Can't hug it out via restorative justice when you're bleeding from a stab wound.

What is your solution? SRO's come with some major issues like sleeping with students, dealing drugs etc.. yeah not a perfect replacement.

Again what is your solution to a kid being stabbed at school?

We know SRO's do not work against school shooters, look at Parkland for example.

Parkland is one example. Let it go it was years ago. Plenty of times SRO's DID STOP SHOOTERS.
