"Georgia's state Senate joined attempts to investigate Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Friday, voting 30-19 to create a special committee that Republican senators say is needed to determine whether the Democratic district attorney misspent state tax money in her prosecution of former President Donald Trump and others.

“This has to do with following state funds,” said Republican Sen Matt Brass of Newnan. “We want to know where is our money going.”

The committee, which doesn't require approval by the state House or Gov. Brian Kemp, is tasked with making recommendations on state laws and spending based on its findings.

Good.

Lol

Georgia's senate is so partisan and y'all are so thrilled about it.

She deserves every investigation she has coming her way.

She knew what she was getting into with this. She knew she would be in for it.

Not sure you understand what your glee looks like or how it reflects on you though.

She is corrupt. And, her corruption is now being revealed.

Corrupt for charging people in a scheme to change votes? How awful of her!

If she knew what she was getting into, this speaks to either someone so corrupt they didn't believe they would ever be caught, or she is so self unaware, it never crossed her mind this was a very poor decision.

Or three, she is straight up stupid to believe it wouldn't have been discovered. She is prosecuting a dude (Roman) who's whole job is digging up dirt on people. SMH.

Just like the ultra partisan Fani who conspired with the Bidens and the Whitehouse Counsel's Office to line her and her boyfriend's pockets with kickbacks and misappropriating Covid funds.

Someone should alert the 'COVID-19 Fraud Enforcement Task Force' that was created by the Department of Justice to go after and prosecute financial frauds related to Covid funds.

Using taxpayers money for personal expenses should be a no brainer. Will be interesting to see how our justice system handles this.

A Georgia Representative introduced Articles of Impeachment at the Georgia House for removal of Fani Willis as the DA of Fulton County for misconduct.

The vote was 30-19 which means it was a bipartisan vote.

Spending a paycheck? Yeah, that doesn't take brains.

Fani Willis was given 14 million taxpayer’s dollars to cleanup the Covid era backlog of cases in her office, yet she illegally hired her boyfriend Nathan Wade and paid him over 800,000 dollars. She needs to be brought up on ethics charges.
Anonymous
Confirmed that Fani/Wade received at least 2 written communications from the White House related to the Trump case.

Wonder if they will be released?

I think investigations should start into anyone who has ever overused the phrase "no one is above the law" with dramatic undertone. It always seems to be the ones who say it all dramatic like that are the ones that are corrupt.

"No one... is above.. the law" -Willis

Talk about her words coming back to bite her in the ass.

Sorry but this didn't start with "Corrupt Fani." It started with Corrupt Trump trying to rig the Georgia election. None of your histrionics over Fani makes that go away.

I agree - dismissal of all charges against Trump is unlikely. However, that doesn't mean all of the histrionics over Fani go away either. Big Fanni has to deal with the tsunami of ethical, administrative Fulton Co. & State Senate investigations, Impeachment proceedings), civil and criminal cases headed her way not to mention she will be embroiled in a major political storm involving coordination with Biden and the White House Counsel. Anyway you slice it, Trump benefits by delaying or possibly having the case dismissed which is ironic since it was the most serious case against Trump since no pardon of State convictions by the US President and the mandatory 5 years minim sentence for RICO conviction in GA.

Fani will have to either resign or be removed, face the Georgia Bar for suspension or disbarment of her licensure and hire a good lawyer for all of the cases forthcoming. It may even start to look like Trump legal saga.
