Hence the reason to use the month/year |
Is your reason to make some players unrecruitable for college and for teams 8th grade year some of the players will play HS for 3 months? |
it isn't their reason, they didn't pick dates, leagues and clubs did. Nobody is unrecruitable. That is your invention. |
Unrecruitable |
Of course everyone eligible is of course able to be recruited if they have the talent and put the time in to find the right school. You have attack record of being wrong and an inability to make judgments based on facts and figures.Your fear mongering on an anonymous website is pointless. |
The grade then doesn't make you older or younger The month/year does |
The people who have successfully gotten a kid placed in college soccer or are on the road to doing so will glance at the madness in this thread, shake their heads and keep rolling |
Amen, clubs are BY now with multiple grades per club now and by some miracle, kids get to play soccer in college. |
In BY trapped players are playing up a level. This is very different from Aug birthdays playing down a level in SY. |
And in BY, non trapped players are playing down but still get to play in college. Nobody believes you when you say the know how recruiting will work under SY because you are a rando without actual evidence and haven't been able to explain away how kids from low level teams and internationals get recruited all the time. |
In BY non trapped players are playing with their grade. Might want to bust out a calander to double check yourself before you say stupid things. |
100% the current system is an advantage to the trapped players vs the new cut off dates, which is worse for them. |
In BY, non trapped players are playing down with the grade below them. |
By playing with lower grades you do (which is how Aug. guy defines it) |
Not what I'm seeing at my club. I'm seeing some who want to, based on being on the team forever AND others wanting to play on age because the chance to get before 100 scouts vs. 5 at showcases. Whether the club indulges either is yet to be seen BUT this is good they can do either, because that's what individuals may need. |
