08 Girls

Trust me it's probably has everything to do with size

Really? So, NC courage has no skill only size? Why not just give credit to a very good team.

Arlington will be top 3 in ECNL

1) RU

2) Arlington

3) VDA

Arlington has been practicing all summer and will dominate the DMV

You should move VDA down further. They are not nearly as good as Arlington.

I guess 2008 Arlington parents are taking over the crazy category for the 2008 year. Good wins this weekend, but slow your roll.

No need to state the obvious. We just need to go back to the earlier version of this thread, which was absolutely batty Arlington stuff nonstop. Very entertaining. Certainly not seeing the craziness from Arlington boys parents.

Those who doubted Arlington boys are very quiet now. Same thing will happen on the girls side.

You are nuts. They are losing at earlier ages because they are bleeding talent and had coaches at younger ages who don’t know what they are doing.

NC Courage are extremely good! Courage plays VDA Saturday and Richmond United Sunday. Should be some great games down in Raleigh!

Impressive results by NC Courage! Let's see how the remaining Virginia teams do against them.

They will get slaughtered.

Richmond and Herndon don't have have CCL teams at 08 girls age group. Herndon also out.

Loudoun, Beach, Soca, Fredericksburg, Legacy, and Arlington all left CCL.

Valor (SYA and CYA collaboration) and Mclean Green joined this year.

Remaining teams for 08 Girls: FC Frederick, Valor, Alexandria, NVSC, LMVSC, VA Rush, Mclean Green (2nd team leftovers from Union), SYC Academy (2nd team leftovers from Union)

I feel the worst for FC Frederick as they will have a tough time finding competition this year. Perhaps Valor could be decent I guess.

Herndon team left for another club, I can't recall where they went. SYC team is solid. They beat Arlington GA, Baltimore Armour academy, BRYC ECNL and Bethesda ECNL last year and were undefeated in CCL. You can call them leftovers all you want, but even with some departures for Union, it is a solid team. VA Valor is solid too. They lost to Loudoun ECNL 0-1 a couple weeks ago, which shows that they were competitive game against an ECNL level opponent.

But did they practice every day this summer like the Arlington girls?

VDA beat NC Courage at Jefferson Cup. Does that count?

Herndon left for DMV FC- see above. VA Valor beat Loudoun's 09 ECNL- but Loudoun 09 ecnl is good so they should be solid. SYC is a mystery since they did lose players to Union merger- they did lose 6-0 To MD United ECNL, 1-0 to NLS (formally Celtic Shamrocks) and 1-0 to MD State Cup champs Kraken at OBGC cup so possibly an anomaly. Not sure if FC Frederick is same team as last year but they fared better at OBGC Cup with Ties vs. VYS (who won OBGC) and Coppermine Premier and beat Montgomery Rush.

SYC was really good last year- one of the most underrated teams in DMV that wasnt an ECNL team.

I am not sure about Richmond, but VDA probably ran sprints all summer. They are like Arlington Lite.

Not being negative but Loudoun won 2-0 and controlled the entire game. Valor certainly had nothing to hang their heads over, they are a tough team but it wasn't a competitive scrimmage. Frederick and Va Rush will be the top Teams.

The score in their latest game was 1-0 at the East Coast Premier Cup so it was not a scrimmage. It was as competitive as any 1-0 game.

You played the 09 Loudoun ECNL team. All of the Loudoun teams played up in that Tournament. The scrimmage vs the 08 team was at Centreville High School in August, that may have even been Valor's 07 team

Did Loudoun U17 ECNL, which lost its last two game 1-7 and 1-10, also play up?
