Sure. What are some examples? |
All these extra coaching opportunities are run by coaches at other Clubs....HP, Capstone, Soccer Academy off the top of my head...not sure if it's right...but not BRYC specific |
Some people call it part time work. So what. |
A 2011 girls team in what league...NCSL? |
|
At BRYC the coaches provide multiple ways for you to funnel money to them. Some call if a conflict of interest.
Never have I seen a person more hell bent on criticizing people. Dude, get a life. Find happiness. Life is short. It's kids soccer. |

I assume travel coaches earn a part time salary.
CJ earns income as HC at Robinson and O'Connell high schools. He runs NXT, which provides training development during winter, spring, and summer breaks. CJ is also part of NVUFC. Imagine coaching four clubs, multiple teams in these clubs, and running your own business too? Say what you will about his coaching, CJ hustles to earn a living for his family. I give him credit. |
Never have I seen a person more hell bent on criticizing people. Dude, get a life. Find happiness. Life is short. It's kids soccer. and how much does kids' soccer cost? |
But how he is as a person negates all of that. A man is only as strong as his word. Being a good person cost nothing and in the end is the most important part of your legacy. |
Never have I seen a person more hell bent on criticizing people. Dude, get a life. Find happiness. Life is short. It's kids soccer. Kids soccer? I thought BRYC was about Elite Soccer and Player Pathways to the Top. |
CJ saved my life. If it wasn't for CJ I think I would be on the streets or dead somewhere. Wait...... are we talking about Christ Jesus or the other CJ?! |

Such a strange comment. Funnel money? You make it sound like they're doing something illegal. They're not. They run a business - a few of them, actually - whereby they train, coach and organize youth soccer both individual and as part of a team. Parents pay to train their kids. They provide a service. If you want that service, you pay for it. This is what we call "business". If you don't want the services, don't pay for them. It's an easy, peasy concept. And there's no conflict. BRYC knows that they provide personal training. BRYC is well aware of what NVU is. BRYC does not operate a separate Super Y. I'm sure BRYC is well aware of the personal training, NVU, and other business opportunities. Clearly, it's not a conflict if the club doesn't provide it. I don't begrudge anyone their entrepreneurial ventures. Good for them. |
Exactly. There are some salty ass people on this message board. Every single club has coaches who do personal training or some type of soccer related for profit venture. No different then a teacher working at a school who does private tutoring on the weekends or summer. |
Yeah it really sucked when I didn't pay for that tutoring package and then my kid's math teacher would not seat him in class the following week. Give me a break - it is not at all comparable. If BRYC is okay with their Coaches collecting hundreds to thousands of dollars for private training and trips from their players, well that tells you something about BRYC. What Coaching and Training is not covered while serving as the player's Coach? But I am sure it has zero impact on who is selected for the team and who plays what minutes. |
Coach Ryan coached the U10s this past year. He moved to Arlington (ASA), which is closer to where he lives, and will be training same age group this year. |
