Personally I find McAuliffe an insincere phony whom others tolerate simply because they want to hitch their wagon to some of the money he controls.

If the Democrats are to the right, I’d hate to see what the left is. Dem Party has moved so far left that it’s crazy what qualifies as a centrist.

If you think McAuliffe is far to the left, I don't know what to say.

The alternative is that he's a centrist, and you consider centrists to be far to the left.

No, actually, one alternative is that the part has been pulled so far to the left that what passes for a centrist is pretty weird. He's some weird combination of left on social issues and sort of pro-establishment/capitalism.

If Maryland and Massachusetts can elect Republucans as governors, it's possible Virginia can too again. But I doubt it.

this, he's a DLC democrat which is almost indistinguishable from what mainstream republicans were 20 years ago. The Republican Party has drifted right and continues to define anything to the left of it as leftist

Old hypocritical rich white guy from McLean vs middle-aged dodgy richer white guy from Great Falls.

Flip a coin - both live in segregated communities and sent their kids to expensive privates.

These guys are about as far removed from the lives of most people in Virginia as you can get.

Yeah, not a fan of McAuliffe but when the other guy can't bring himself to denounce Trump, I'll be voting D regardless.

Lol. I’ll take your non answer as a no.

DP, and I would also like to know what public schools (which I have kids in) has to do with denouncing fascists - or, rather, NOT denouncing fascists, since Glen Youngkin hasn't done it.

20 years ago, Virginia had a 3% state income tax. Then Democrats won some governor's races, claiming to be centrist.

Certainly won't vote for a POS who utilizes GOP fearmongering tactics about schools.
