2026 Boys - Madlax or DCE?

I love reading all of this. This is Joe High, I started and coach TRW Wolfpack. I started the team because money was forcing bad decisions for kids at other clubs I was involved in. I did not start the team as an investment, I don't make a dollar, we get the boys the best gear because kids like that and try to provide the best coaching, we end up being the cheapest because there are no salaries. I know the game well and I care about kids getting the same thing out of it that I did. If you want to hear about my approach, our roster size, or anything else just talk to the kids and parents of our team or give me a call. My cell is 410-241-9921. We will be posting our Fall tryout date on our website soon. We are looking for kids that want to work hard to get better.

Is TRW still it’s own club? I heard that it merged with another organization?

Is there anything to the DCE being up for sale rumors?

Where the is smoke there is fire. The rumors are gaining legitimacy as the owners sons leave the program.

Is TRW part of Hammers? If so it is not the least expensive club option. A good option but not cheapest. I think it is more than VLC

Owners don’t have any sons. Let’s get our facts straight.

From the webpage (https://trwlax.com/)

"The Right Way (TRW) Lacrosse is a 2026 boys team in Northern VA.

In 2021 we partnered with Hammers Lacrosse. The relationship, which allows both organizations to operate as they have is a win / win for the players and their families. TRW will maintain it’s 100% non-profit, elite experience, while being able to leverage the Hammer’s premier program infrastructure, elite coaching staff, and state of the art home facility with four turf fields, lights, and classrooms. Our players benefit from the resources available to larger programs without sacrificing any of our principals and vision for the programs."

Correct. One lives in the Boston area I think and the other works for his father in-law. Right now, they are asking too much and I believe BLC has the first right to purchase.

Not 100% correct but what is your point? That we should all run to Madlax because that program is perfect? There are lots of good people behind DCE that will ensure it remains viable.

If only Yorktown would start a youth elite club program.

Nobody is saying that players should run to MadLax There are six programs worth considering for 2026 players who want competitive lacrosse. DCE, VLC, NL, TRW, Top Caliber, and MadLax. All have pros and cons. MadLax 2026 has the worst coaching of the six, which is one of the reasons (among others) that the team probably will lose more players than it gains in the fall cycle.

Can somebody familiar with the ownership structure of DCE and the sale rumors explain the facts? that would be useful to know.

I would say four programs:NL DCE ML and VLC are in a level above the others. I would put TRW Top Caliber Hardlax in another tier. As they enter HS this matters as the teams who play in the better events and matchups get far more exposure

Agree with ML, DCE, NL, VLC significantly more talent and better coaching then the other clubs. TRW, Hardlax, TC have never beat the other teams.
