Look, I am of the bellied the the Dems are fighting for every last cent they can get by Friday and I’m okay with that. But never forget why they even had to fight this hard for what should be basically understood and agreed upon. Never.

I haven't followed for the last few days. Is Sen. Hawley's request to make the stim checks $1,200 genuine and/or going anywhere? Seems there's pretty unanimous anger by the masses on both sides of the aisle at the proposed $600 checks.

Going anywhere - probably not. I’m surprised they squeezed in any checks at the final hour though.

He wanted checks instead of any other aid. Now it looks like there will be smaller checks and smaller aid. Because let’s be as stingy as possible.

Can someone handicap what the % odds of what the check amount will be before Jan 1st? I'm not sure where things stand right now

$1200 <2%?
$600 49%?
$0 49%?

Hawley just personally tweeted out the $1,200 article. So it's still up in the air?

Giving with one hand and taking with the other. Is he on record supporting the entire package, including state and local aid? No? Shocking.

Will there be another extension of the Dec 18 deadline?

Sorry if already posted — Trump demands $1200 and really wants $2K checks. GOP hacks around him try to scuttle. Wow.

Given the headlines around the willful rush to 'herd immunity' by the administration, the liability issue becomes more acute. The dems absolutely cannot cave on this.

They will, they always do. I’m hoping in my lifetime to see a Speaker Katie Porter who would have never been such a horrible negotiator.

+1 and they’re only doing it because their candidates in the Georgia runoffs are getting hammered on this issue. After that they won’t care.

Shutdown tonight - still no vote.

Hawley still pushing for $1.2K. Trump allegedly still pushing for $2K.
