Why is Maryland "Trending Poorly" on covidexit?

Focusing on positivity is spin for now. It's just treading water. It's not working the level of cases down to a manageable level that we can move to the stage of an effective test/trace/isolate strategy, just more of a flatten the curve and live with it strategy.

MD uses positivity to say how widespread the cases are, but they need to be releasing the data of what percent of new cases come from contacts of existing cases. This will help break new cases into known clusters or "in the wild". CDC called for this in April and Hogan said in May he would release this information but as far as I can tell he has yet to do so. All they release is the number of phone calls they made and whether the person answered the phone.

MD is off of NYS naughty list! New cases per 100,000 per day have been fewer than 10 for a week.
