What kind of LEO poses in tactical gear like that? Shame on him.

Other than the gun on his lap the rest of the outfit is probably what he always wears.

Wow, now I've seen it all. This isn't a legitimate news source, it's an organization started earlier this year to spread pandemic porn. Some of you have really lost your minds.

Well, it was Wharton.

Regardless of total caseload at this one moment in time, their cases are rising, the government isn’t doing anything, and medical professional are sounding the alarm. In a healthy, functioning society this would be cause for alarm and action.

The bigger cities are going to start requiring people to wear masks and the hospitals will stop doing elective surgeries which will creat more icu capacity. Enough with the panic.

It was the panic that finally forced the governor last night to allow cities to require masks.

An outcry is what is needed to make our government do what they need to do.

+1 And nobody is recommending closing everything down again, extended shutdowns, etc. This is merely about wearing a mask, which requires *so very little*. I am so disgusted.

Every post I've seen on this board about somewhere else being a "disaster" has been regarding a state that had a very low level of cases for the last three months, but which is now seeing a trend upward. Because they, unlike NY and other places in the NE, actually flattened the curve. Unless we all stay inside until a vaccine is available, the curve was going to start back up again when we stopped isolating. You folks are moving the goalposts.

No they hadn't flattened the curve. The large numbers of illnesses hadn't reached these areas yet, so they lifted restrictions and will now see the effect on their health care system. NOW is their chance to flatten their curve and they have way more information than the coasts did at the beginning of this.

Macho culture is prevalent among Republicans. Every redneck carries a gun to feel manly.

Who knows if the data is wrong or right when it isn't vetted. People were posting all kinds of inaccurate data about "missed" pneumonia cases in FL and GA a few weeks ago that was later proven false.

To keep you in touch with reality, no small doing.

It’s got nearly 1000 signatures already. Apparently the ICU’s in Phoenix are at 90% capacity and things are only getting worse.

Health care workers in Hong Kong went on strike because they wanted borders closed with China back when the pandemic first started.

You obviously haven’t actually looked at the curves. At one point Louisiana had more cases than NY. Not per capita — more cases. They just drove the curve down faster than NY did. The Southern states all had early cases — remember Albany, GA? Some states did get a week or two break, but the cases came in from NY and other places that were hard hit, so they did, in fact “flatten the curve” by shutting down.
