Funny how you didn't mention the huge deficit...or the declining GDP...

Or unemployment. Or the economic impact of closed schools, reduced travel, no conventions...

It's ok. We've got Daddy Trump's credit card now. When that is maxed out, the U.S. can just declare bankruptcy right?

Debt
Deficit
Unemployment

The stock market is not "the economy"

Personally, I love it. From a national standpoint, we have major problems and will for years after there is a vaccine.

When 45 doubles the debt like 44, then you lefties can complain.

Obama doubled it to 400M.

Trump is running 800M...per month.

We are complaining because the money being spent is being spent foolishly and with little actual benefit to the country. Most of it is going into a black hole of LLC's, corporations and Trump cronies.

Yawn. Reagan tripled the national debt while he was in office.

And until Trump doubles the stock market like Obama did, partisans like you can hold your tounge.

You guys need to get over your atavistic belief that the president magically controls the stock market.

Especially in the case of Trump who has passed no legislation and makes the country great again by tweeting and golfing and hosting incoherent press conferences.

I'm the PP that you are responding too. In no way to I believe that the President is responsible for the economy or the stock market. But many of his supporters do believe that. When I point out metrics about the stock market or unemployment under Obama, I am doing it to "answer a fool according to his folly."

Well screwing up our coronavirus response appears to be absolutely wrecking the economy. The countries that took stronger action are doing better than us.

Donald Trump needs to get over his false belief that he magically controls the stock market. Why does he keep tweeting about it?

Another 1.3 million file for unemployment.

Well, it seems Trump is somewhat concerned about unemployment because Ivanka is telling people to "find something new".

Nope

https://news.gallup.com/poll/266807/percentage-americans-owns-stock.aspx

And the number has gone down as desperate people have had to liquidate to make ends meet.

Silly troll, a poll doesn't count as many in America who have a 401k have no idea that they're invested in stocks.[/quo

This statement is laughable. You really think people who take the time to put money into their retirement account, selecting funds, receiving quarterly reports are not smart enough to know they don't own stock. You're the ignorant one, not them.

I not only think that, I know it.

I've had to explain to multiple coworkers in several different jobs that our 401K/403B/TSP allocations are to funds that own shares of stock in various companies, and not some magical savings account where your money goes in and more money comes out in 30 years.

You’re as believable as Trump.

Baby, he has already succeeded in that fete. Does that mean you now give the lefties leave to complain.
