Outlander...Droughtlander coming to an end!

Was she pregnant and perhaps the fetus wasn’t a traveler?

Is traveling ultimately controlled by the universe/your fate?

A lot of the storyline doesn’t make sense to me.

It was good, but real puzzled by that fade to black at the end.

*spoiler alert*
Disagree..This episode had to explain the death of Malva which led to a shocking confession in order to free Claire. Once she was freed it sets us on a course to see that Jaime has come for Mr Brown.

It’s a prelude to violence to come and the calm before the storm. Get ready..

Agree. Episode 1 followed the book storyline pretty closely. The books are 1,000+ pages and are incredibly detailed. The show generally does a good job following the narrative. If you haven’t read the books, stick with the show. There are new characters introduced and many storylines involving the new characters. There will be a lot of action this season!

Why does Outlander have to be so consistently dark and violent? I like a lot about it, but it can just be too much. I’m simultaneously watching Queen Charlotte, which is an interesting contrast in the same general time period.

Am I the only one who fast forwards the Brianna/Roger scenes? I find them terribly boring.

the casting of Brianna almost ruined the show for me. If it weren't for Claire and Jamie....

Nope, I do too. Their casting was such a missed opportunity for some eye candy as Jamie and Claire age out.

So do we think Brown killed Malva then? In the books Brown fades away after they figure out what happened.

Yes, in the books (and I assume the show). They don't know if the fetus can travel so they stay. Only certain folks can travel so they can't be sure who unless they hear the buzzing.

It was because for all of them, "home" was in the 1700s. As they stood by the stones, they all thought about going home, and they ended up staying put. Any fetus belonging to Roger and Bree would be able to travel, so whether or not she was pregnant is irrelevant.

Same!!! Haaaate Bree. Roger is just meh - agree it would have been nice for some eye candy instead.

At this point I wish they would write them off. Unfortunately, I think they will follow the books with their separate storyline (which I also disliked in the book even though I didn't dislike their book characters as much).

Curious as to why posters don’t like Brianna. Why is it about her that makes her so unlikeable?

I think my own reasons are kind of dumb but it annoys me that she’s not a real redhead and that her eye brows don’t match her hair

She just doesn’t seem to have the ferocity and fire that I expected Jamie and Claire’s daughter to have

She’s also kind of wooden as an actress and her chemistry with Roger is non-existent

Did anyone watch the latest episode? I thought it was one of the better ones in a long time!
