How is this remotely a valid investigation?

Opposition lawmakers, intelligence officials question why Attorney General William Barr is working outside usual channels in review of Russia-probe origins.

Did you folks not know that foreign governments were involved in it?

So, only Trump is allowed to be investigated?

We prefer when foreign governments don’t do our investigating for us.

Other than Donald Trump.

Barr is proven himself to be Trump's personal attorney and investigator. He is abusing the power of US AG office for his client's benefit. He should be impeached.

Nope.
Barr has proven that he will root out corruption in our government.
And, hold those accountable who thought they could get away with their misdeed and probable criminal activity.

Please cite one example of this. Bonus points for not linking to Breitbart.

DOJ official said Trump initiated the calls at Barr’s request. The recent call with Australia was one of a “number of times” the president made similar calls for the AG as part of probe into the origins of the special counsel’s Russia investigation

Is this legal for the AG to coordinate investigation with Trump which politically benefit him?

If the purpose is to benefit Trumps election campaign and punish his enemies? Then no it is not legal. Not that they care.

Attorney General William P. Barr has held private meetings overseas with foreign intelligence officials seeking their help in a Justice Department inquiry that President Trump hopes will discredit U.S. intelligence agencies’ examination of Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the matter.

This is crazy! Trump is ready to burn USA down to save his butt and it seems like Barr, Pompeao et. al are helping him. We are doomed as country.

As a country? Five people outside of the DMV care about this.

We can’t help it if you people are stupid and uninformed.

Following every minute of this is consistent with having a well rounded life?

Sadly, no. Which is why it would be great if we had a President who did his job. And didn’t break laws.

That’s a given. These rich white guys think it can’t happen to them. Trumps last attorney says Hi! From prison.

Hardly.

The AG investigating US intel services, via foreign intel services. That is simply wrong on so many levels, it is hard to articulate.

It’s hard to believe you have to explain why asking a foreign intelligence service to investigate our intelligence service is a bad idea. But here we are.

I mean, there is no chance a country feeds Barr false findings to help their country and hurt us? Right.

There is a reason you must be a US citizen to be a federal employee. JFC.

Imagine for a second that this was AG Lynch traveling around asking foreign officials to debunk an FBI report her boss didn't like.

It's more than that. They're actually asking foreign governments to say that Russia didn't hack us n 2016 but rather that Obama did!

Help me follow Trump logic. To release HRC’s emails because Obama wanted Trump to win? Is that really what goes on in the brain of a paranoid idiot?

Of course it is legal. Do you not think that investigating and impeaching Trump by various Democrats, using public funds and resources, will "politically benefit" them? Do you believe Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi, et al are violating any law just because using public resources and public employees to investigate Trump is of "political benefit" to them?

It’s the soliciting foreign intelligence agencies in pursuit of winning an election where the law breaking comes in. Because it could literally destroy our country. But please— keep ignoring that piece.

Anonymous wrote:People, this was put out there to move your interest away from the real problem: Trump threatening to withhold military aid unless Ukraine helped him make dirt about his political opponent -- bad conduct.

All of that is unrelated to the Justice department conspiracy-theory probe into the origins of Russiagate. That investigation may be stupid and waste of money, but it probably isn't illegal.

Keep your eye on the ball and don't let them whip you up about the side-show. They really, really want to roll Ukraine into that, and it isn't the same thing at all.

Actually, that thing about the "dirt" was entirely fabricated by Adam Schiff in his opening statement to DNI Maguire's testimony. Later on during the hearing, Schiff claimed he wasn't "lying," it was simply his version of a "parody."

Yet the MSM are using Schiff's "lie/parody" of "digging up dirt" supposedly requested by Trump as the prevailing meme. And so are you.

Parodies are for clowns. Schiff is a clown. Are you?

And, let's not forget that Nancy Pelosi then went on 60 Minutes and accused Trump of trying to get Ukraine to "create" information.

It is no surprise that the Democrats are making statements that simply are not true.

You mean create an investigation into a completely debunked conspiracy theory, right? And BTW— we have the text messages showing it happening.

Not to say that he did, but to say IF he did. Big difference.

Nope. You're incorrect.

Tell me where Trump admin told foreign governments to lie or manufacture information.

Someone? Anyone? Schiff and Pelosi are saying this, too. Can someone point to documentation of this?

The theses he is trying to support are complete bunk. Alex Jones level stuff.

IDK. I think the jury is still out on Sandy Hook was a Hoax and Gay people cause Hurricanes. /s

There’s nothing wrong with this. Barr should be asking all of the foreign intelligence services about it also.

Because they have allegiance to the American people? Because they will give us correct information if it hurts them and helps us?

On what planet is this a good idea? We have an FBI and like 12 different intelligence services full of people who swear allegiance to us and are all American citizens. A foreign country acts in its own best interest. Not ours. And it’s jaw dropping how stupid you have to be not to get this.
