DP - that's basically every other day. Not at all worthy of an "oh my!" The only thing odd is the order in which pp listed the days. ![]() |
Because Dad hygiene is less than Mom hygiene generally. |
Put your eyebrows down. You’re laughable. |
Sorry. It is definitely bizarre. Not to mention unhygienic and disgusting. |
I grew up taking one bath a week until middle school. Saturday evenings! |
And actually if one bath is Friday and the next isn’t until Wednesday? That is 5 days -literally almost a week! And then from Wednesday to Sunday is 4 days! And then from Sunday to Friday is another 5 days! This is most definitely not every other day. This is neglect! |
Where? In the sticks? |
Or maybe it was on the prairie? |
What kind of calendar are you using? Sunday to wed is 3 days. Wed to Friday is 2 days. Friday to Sunday is 2 days. |
If you want to dirtbag dirtbag but let's not pretend it's somehow virtuous |
Yes, but sometimes we are all so beat it just doesn’t happen. During the summer if they are running through the sprinkler at 5pm I think of it as a shower. |
No way, too time consuming. |
we shoot for 3 baths a week for our 3 year old, but usually it's only two. But we also go to the pool a few days a week, so it counts in my book.. Go ahead, throw a shoe at me. |
Blow some bubbles towards them at the same time, and hey, you've got soap too. You're good to go, IMO. |
Nope. I think the age of the kid matters big time, here, as well as activities. My oldest (just turned 4) has very sensitive skin and was getting excema - her doctor recommended fewer baths. Before that, we were on the take a bath every day train. Now, it's every other day, unless she's particularly grimy.
We also only bath the infant every couple of days, because the baby isn't really out and about sweating. Personally, I'm on the twice-a-day shower train myself. Shower in the AM and the evening. |
