If it’s a pool day, yes. If she (4) has just played a little outside at camp and her hair isn’t greasy she’s fine to skip. |
Yes, both for routine and cleanliness purposes. They (ages 7, 4, 1) get grimy and sweaty, they have stinky dirty feet all year round, and some of them are not very good at wiping after going to the bathroom. We wash hair every 3-4 days. |
DS takes a bath or shower every during the summer due to bug spray and sunscreen and running around at camp all day. DS takes a bath every other day during the non-summer months. He takes a bath after any sports practice or a heavy play day. He had an issue with eczema as a baby and toddler and the Ped told us it wasn’t necessary to bathe every day.
When is older and starts puberty he will need to shower every day but right now, he doesn’t require a bath every day. |
At those ages my kids bathes maybe 2-3 times a week. |
Yes - the routine when they were babies and now because of the routine and the dirt. |
Pps whos kids bathe every day, are there ever any exceptions? Like getting home late or anything of the sort? I definitely don’t bathe my kids when we get in super late. Kids under 7. |
Nope. Not even close. My kids are 2.5 and 5 and they get rinsed with a bit of soap in the shower after the pool 3-ish days a week and maybe 1 proper bath a week. Bedtime is later enough as it is. They don’t stink. They look clean. |
I'm one of those PPs and yes, definitely exceptions. But, I've also been known to dip them in and out in less than 5 min, even past bedtime, just to get their feet, hands, butts, and faces clean. |
Nope. My kids are just starting to do every day in elementary school. We have a nighttime routine, it just didn't include bathing every day. I know people will come on and say they can always tell if a kid doesn't bathe every day, but the fallacy in their logic is there is no way for them to know which kids don't smell and don't bathe every day.
DCUM is NOT a fair representation. Already, you can read people are saying kids aren't allowed to sit on their beds in their "outside clothes." There was another thread recently of people who think outside |
My kids are 4 and 7 and bathe 2x per week, year-round. |
Yes now that it’s summer and she is a year and a half. Last winter we did it every other day. Bath time is quick when I do it, and I personally bathe before I go to sleep because I like being clean when I get into bed so I do the same for her. We wash her hair maybe every other day because she hates having water poured over her head. |
Yes. And always have bathed every night. |
Yes. Two very active little boys (5.5 and 3) who are always outside. How could you not bathe every day? |
+1. |
Yes. Boys five and eight. Disgusting to go to bed without bathing. |
