Clyde Watson, the TD of McLean, coaches the 05 team last year and this year.

He should really take 06 next year and try and turn them around!

Agreed.

Lol.You wish. He will stay with the recruiting age groups. That's his thing.

He had 05’s this year. 06’s are 14 next year. It would make sense.

I would move clubs for Clyde. He’s a great coach. He builds teams and develops the player.

Name a coach in the ECNL that doesn’t recruit.

Which ones? The Arlington recruits?

I don't know Nadir or Clyde....but heard there is no better college placement coach than Clyde. College coaches call him and ask, "who you got for me". They trust him ,that much.

Isn't Nadir a McLean coach who coached the team that won the ECNL national title.

You seem really excited by the national title. Just a little bit of information. The u18/19 age group is notoriously the weakest age group in ECNL for a host of reasons. Not to take away from the kids. I know it was a big accomolishment....but winning at u15 -u17 is way harder.

OP here. I am not excited but just sharing relevant facts. No other club in the region has had as much success at the ECNL level. Your point about u18/u19 is relevant. The same coach also had a U-16 or U16 team that was equally as successful and that U18/19 team did produce the top ECNL player.

"No other club in the region has had as much success at the ECNL level." Lol, until 2017 there were what, 2, ECNL teams in the area since 2011? ... DA didn't exist, soooo good point that, you are correct totally factual, but c'mon, you were the only spot in a pretty dense population and accessible area from almost every direction.

I realize it will never happen but this needs a few years before really discussing. Every club is in transition currently and it’ll be interesting to see where players end up after GDA folds. Spirit has a few kids in every age that can make the better ECNL programs and it’ll be interesting to see where all the FCV kids go.

GDA announced that it is starting a new cup competition. Doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon
