Like I said, it's small potatoes. It's $3200 and she already reimbursed the US Treasury for the mistake. Most people have car repairs in excess of that amount. This isn't enough of an issue to distract voters from voting against the GOP. |
The amount of money isn't the issue. You think a person who is in politics and has run for office before didn't know better? Really? This seems pretty basic to me. |
Susan Collins has been in the Senate for how long and “didn’t know better.” “As recently as January 2019, Sen. Susan Collins’ campaign accepted illegal contributions from her own government staffers in an apparent violation of Senate ethics rules and federal law.” https://american-ledger.com/corruption-secrecy/fec-reports-suggest-collins-violated-ethics-rules-by-accepting-campaign-contributions-from-her-government-staff/ |
It is so quaint to make an issue out of a $3200 donation that has been returned. How about the billion that Kushner received from Qatar? How about the patents that Ivanka received from China? Come on, people.

"....but but but BOTH SIDES!!!!" -Chuck Todd and Jake Tapper in unison |
It's not a both sides thing. That's a proportionality thing. This stupid $3200 that was quickly fixed v - waves hands - ALL THAT. Both sides is: Everyone cheats! NBD! This is - this candidate's thing wasn't really that bad, and the other side is doing REALLY BAD things, so I don't think this will stick or make a difference. |
McSally’s appointment is being challenged in court:

Over two years does seem less than “temporary.” |
Looks like Higgenlooper is going to switch to the CO Senate race. |
Yup. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/13/us/politics/john-hickenlooper-2020-senate.html#click=https://t.co/4e0DEuhJ9N |
Good. WH race is too crowded. |
+1 |
I would love to see him in the Senate, and it seems like he has a real shot. I hope others of the 2020 candidates take this path too. |
Great |
Beto should do the same thing down in Texas. |
