No, mainly it's just people like you on anonymous forums who think that.

Says the Langley fools who keep inviting ridicule by repeatedly starting threads about this unpopular idea on, you guessed it, an anonymous forum because their silly press releases otherwise get NO attention.

Question: why are you commenting on this thread to begin with? Did the word "Langley" trigger you, as usual? You're so transparent. Any issue having to do with Langley is always pounced on by people like you, who simply love to hate all things having to do with the school and community.

The ramp closure is a dumb idea.

It takes a special mix of cluelessness and selfishness to promote it. Is that a Langley thing? If so, own it.

I don’t know who was involved in the hotlane determination, but this is a key issue that has been overlooked.

The bridge is obviously a bottle neck that Virginia can’t change, but the hot lanes should end well before the bridge so that it is smoothed out before the bottleneck of the bridge. The hotlanes did in fact end farther back in Virginia a couple years ago and the Georgetown Pike area was in much better shape then. The hotlane merger should go back to where it used to be.

THIS. Great idea.

And a commuter tax for Md and Va residents working in DC! Awesome!

So you admit you have no reason to be on this thread other than to troll Langley families. Got it. How boring your life must be if this is what you do for kicks.

It seems your reading comprehension skills are sorely lacking.

The ramp closure is a dumb idea. The resulting criticism of Langley families who keep promoting it is well-deserved.

"Proponents were more vocal Oct. 18 at the second Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) meeting about possible temporary closures of a ramp leading from Georgetown Pike to northbound Interstate 495 in McLean, but a majority of local residents who have sounded off still oppose it, VDOT officials said."

How does the ramp closure affect you in any way? Are you the poster who lives in DC? If so, buzz off and stop inserting yourself into issues that don’t concern you. And try to get over yourself.

+1000. It’s unfortunate VDOT officials allowed themselves to get drawn into this by overbearing Langley parents in the first place.

Many other McLean school parents are against this dumb initiative.

How can we get involved to oppose this proposal?

-200. It’s not just up to people in McLean to decide, but even most showing up for the community meetings in McLean oppose closing the ramp, and VDOT has said they would only close the ramp if there was overwhelming support for doing so. Which there is not.
