USMNT

You will not change minds and win your argument by posting the same crap ad nauseum. I and other sane people will wait to see how this shakes out, you can continue to bitch and moan about scouts and US Soccer. It’s really just pathetic.

You have issues.

I wrote the last post. I did not write the one before that. About a page ago I questioned whether the poster who opined we weren't really outplayed by Italy had actually watched the game, and then later I posted the stats from that game. Other than that, I've posted less than 5 times on this 11 page thread. Never about scouting.

There are always many people who join in the conversation about US Soccer. Believing that all posts on this subject that disagree with you and "the other sane people" must have been written by the same person, is completely irrational.

That's a nice way of saying you're batshit crazy dude. Please get help.

I thought I’d post something positive in this thread. It’s nice to see positive posts on the national teams once in awhile to break up the monotony of a pointed few on DCUM.

Solid stats for the US too in terms of possession and SOG.

Happy thanksgiving to all!

We're they really outplayed last night? Wasn't it 0-0 until the last 30 seconds? Had he game ended a minute sooner with a draw would it still be a disappointment to you?

DP, but did you even watch the game before making that comment?

i only caught the last 2 min of the game. didn't mean to be snarky.

This is definitely a positive, but does that mean that Tab Ramos, who coaches this U20 team is in the running for the USMNT coaching job now? He would not be a bad choice, if they are not willing to go after a world class coach, but I don't believe he was interviewed for this position.

He's done a good job with this group. Let's see what the federation does on the coaching spot, seems not to be nailed down just yet.

No thoughts on how well the U20s played and the implications of that?

Why am I not surprised?!

The U20s played well throughout the tournament. Notably, several players on that team, including Alex Mendez (the best player in the tournament, 8 goals) and Uly Llanez (tournament's best XI, 7 goals), are also eligible to play for Mexico. Tab Ramos had in person visit to their families in connection with calling them up for U20 team, while John Hackworth left them both off the U17 squad two years ago. So who coaches the USMNT makes a difference. If we get Hackworth/MLS-old-boys club type, these young players will be ignored and potentially switch to Mexico. as Efrain Alvarez did after he was dropped from youth national team camp.
