Beautiful song that gets me every time.

This reminded me of the version of Fix You sung by the YoungAtHeart chorus, and all the other stuff they sang:

Definitely “Tears in Heaven.”

I was in the waiting room preceding an abortion & when this song came on, I almost lost it.

Eva Cassidy's cover of Sting's "Among the Fields of Barley." Also, her "I Know You By Heart." Shivers, tears and sobs each time.

The House That Built Me by Miranda Lambert

Absolutely both of these.

And Carry On, Wayward Son by Kansas, which was played at my friend’s funeral after he killed himself the summer after graduation.

This thread is giving me all the feels .... My votes include:
-Wildfire
-Cats in the Cradle
-Through the Long Night (Billy Joel); I associate this with the night I sat next to my mother’s hospital bed as she was on life support. She died in the morning but I had that last night with her.

Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel from Watership Down, a cheery movie about dying bunnies. It was on the radio all the time when my grandfather died.

Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears, because it was playing on the radio when my friend's father died.

When my mother passed away, I avoided listening to the radio, although I wrecked a few tunes by choosing them to be played at her funeral.

For some reason The Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkle makes me tear up.
