Remember when 38-year-old Jerry Seinfeld dated a 17-year-old high schooler?

If she is legally underage, then yes.

17 is over the age is consent, and apparently she turned 18 before the actually started dating. They dated for 5 years. It's not something I would do, but it does not appear to be abusive.

Woody Allen.

Ha! Everything's relative, at least Seinfeld didn't marry his daughter... and have kids with her!

And those young girls are ADOPTED which really boggles my mind. How were they allowed to adopt?!

He doesn't even seem to like his wife. I just get a weird vibe about their marriage in general.

He acted like Kesha was creepy and refused to hug her, but he thought his actions were okay with the 17 year old. Such a double standard. Yes he's creepy.

I thought it was weird no one was talking about him and his 17 year old. I liked him and started watching his netflix coffee show and was unimpressed with how he treats the public, especially counter people and waitstaff. Douche

Thank God things are changing.

Seinfeld was one of the most famous stars of that time. Everyone felt they knew him— he was (and is) down to earth, relatable, hilarious. Not surprising her parents let them date.

Parents aside, b/c they were clearly crappy parents, what in the WORLD did he see in a kid young enough to be his child? In my late 30s I had NO desire (ew) to date a HS junior or senior.

It's just sick.

And yes, I loved his show. But I loved Cosby, too, and Michael Jackson and Woody and I could go on and on. There's something not quite right with these situations. So while I can separate the art from the artist, it still leaves me feeling a little guilty and a lot creeped out.

I couldn’t get away from it. Living in NYC at the time, they were alway on the cover of the papers or on Page 6. I was in my early 20’s and just couldn’t see what a 17 yo saw in him besides his wallet.

She has a killer bod, though I think she has had work done on her face.

LEt's see off the cuff celebs who dated and or married teenagers and they weren't. There are tons and some have been mentioned like Woody, but there is also Elvis, Prince Charles, Paul Walker, Ted Nugent (he actually adopted his teenage girlfriend, bleh!) Jerry Lee Lewis, R. Kelly...

Remember when 21 year old Elvis courted a 14 year old Pricilla, who blackmailed him into marrying her? She threatened him with a charge of "taking a minor across state lines for sexual purposes"

So What?

If she's old enough to decide to offer her life for her country, (with parental consent) she is old enough to date Jerry.
NEWMAN!

I remember my parents being so upset about it that my dad actually called the police to see if he could report it as a crime - not knowing either one of them but based on the press coverage.

Time flies! She is over 40 and apparently divorced with kids. Didn't know she was the Shoshana behind Shoshana dresses. It seems like no matter what she does or accomplishes that she will always be knows as Jerry Seinfeld's teenage girlfriend.

I vaguely recall reading her parents lived on the Upper East Side and Jerry would pick her up after school in a Porsche or limo.

Jerry also paid her way through college, first at GW but then he had her transfer to UCLA to be closer to him.
