If you had "cool" parents, you knew about cool 60s and 70s music too. While my mom listened to Joan Baez and other folk music, my dad had a ton of cool old records like Cream, Led Zeppelin, Velvet Underground, The Rolling Stones, even some early Bowie. And Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys. I loved going through his record collection and of course we had a huge cabinet stereo. We also knew a ton about disco and somehow had a ton of disco 8 tracks. |
