I'm amazed their great lawyers couldn't get her off on some kind of temporary insanity defense.

This was in Delaware. Even the DuPonts get jail time there.

Would you be so compassionate for a male sex offender with two little elementary kids who cannot hold playdates and birthday parties? Enough with the double standards.

Those two little kids also have a father who can raise them while their mother is in prison. What kind of message does this send that a white, rich woman and cross state lines to have sex (oral or whatever) with a 15 year old. I agree many times the mother is the more dominant parental figure for a child, but these kids have another parent and it is not enough of a mitigating factor to say because the children are young their mother shouldn't go to jail for child rape. There are plenty of mothers in jail, that's the price they pay for their crimes. She shouldn't be any different. The sentence is absolutely ridiculous.

She's a sex offender because of her OWN BAD CHOICES. No one forced her to do what she did!!

Agree. She will suffer. I think taking her away from her children would have been too harsh and unfair to her kids. Would feel the same if role reversal. The 15 yr old boy may or may not have trust issues moving forward, it depends on his character. The text messages they exchanged were mutual and appeared like two adults consenting. I was a mature precocious teen (girl) and slept with an older man. Technically, I was raped, but I don't feel that way. Today, I have a healthy marriage with a wonderful child and zero trust issues.
