Asians are not White. Asians are Asians because they always strive for "A", and so the spelling of their race starts with "A". "W" is not a good grade, it means "Withdrawn" and if an Asian was getting a "W" they would be known as "Wsians"

Asian children become very upset when they become "Bsians" or "Csians"...it happens in their schooling sometimes.

Thanks for the clarification. I too took "W" to mean "withdrawn" in the context of withdrawn from school work and preparation while playing lacrosse and skiing in Europe.

I'm sort of curious too but I doubt the test prep advocates are willing to share that information. It's not in their self interest to lose their kids' or younger sibs/friends' competitive advantage as other posters have pointed out. This thread has gotten way out of control. Save your anxiety for college admissions, folks.

Work with your kid at home for 15-20 minutes a day.

Get workbooks/worksheets/teaching materials for the year ahead of what grade your kid is in (after he/she masters the current grade level). They sell awesome books on Amazon on logic/math.

Don't be content thinking that your kid is 'at grade level'. The bar is pretty low. Your kid CAN do more/better work. And, your kid will feel awesome about himself because he can easily keep up in class, and knows what's coming.

From reading these Boards one would think there was a World War 3 on going between the Asians and Whites in our educational institutions, HGCs, magnet programs and TJ.

It's a cultural war. Mainly to do with parenting.

Asians are sensitive to the fact that Academics (to an extent) is the only color and race blind means to level the playing field for their kids. Which is getting them in direct competition with Whites.
