Work with your kid at home for 15-20 minutes a day. Get workbooks/worksheets/teaching materials for the year ahead of what grade your kid is in (after he/she masters the current grade level). They sell awesome books on Amazon on logic/math. Don't be content thinking that your kid is 'at grade level'. The bar is pretty low. Your kid CAN do more/better work. And, your kid will feel awesome about himself because he can easily keep up in class, and knows what's coming. |
It's a cultural war. Mainly to do with parenting. Asians are sensitive to the fact that Academics (to an extent) is the only color and race blind means to level the playing field for their kids. Which is getting them in direct competition with Whites. |
